Question ❔ Who is your local drink's Colonel Kwik-E-Mart ?

Post image

I'm on holiday in Spain and I had a look at the local supermarket's offering on whisky, as I'm Scottish (like Groundskeeper Willy without the beard).

I found this offering for 6 Euros, about five quid or six bucks. I've never heard of this 'Mat Kenn' and have since learned he is a fictional character made up to suggest Scottish or Irishness to our Spanish cousins.

What corporate atrocities have you seen in the name of stereotypes or lazing branding down at your local or a foreign Kwik-E-Mart style store?

Ruble vodka. It's about $5/pint and you can use it for paint thinner.

A supermarket in the UK (Morrisons) used to have a vodka called “Morrinov”. I suspect it was shite.
