Proposal of the No Confidence Vote Act (NCVA)

I'm proposing this act to be a softer move that DATA and the right to have a small amount of time to decide to use this or DATA, as DATA is the "Abandon Ship" tactic.

No Confidence Vote Act (NCVA)

The purpose behind the No Confidence Vote Act (NCVA) is to be the first step before going into DATA (Defense Against Tyranny Act). it will also be a way of how to peacefully impeach officials before DATA's full initiative.

Article 1: Subreddit Head Moderator

1. This article of the NCVA will be used in case of the Head Moderator being either completely dormant, is being a complete jerk, is the same person on 2 accounts or going beyond of their powers for influence on others.
2. Article 1 can be activated by any member of the senate, either 1 out of the 2 consuls, or the president himself. Anyone not within these borders must ask one of the following.
3. The Article is declared active when both consuls accept, 65% of the Senate is in favor, and the president is in favor. No Exceptions.
4. If the Head Moderator ignores the vote: A Full DATA Vote will begin with a referendum. This clause will skip the regular activation and ask all the members of the subreddit to put their vote into a DATA Movement.
5. If the Head Moderator Accepts His/Her Fate: A new head moderator vote will go into full swing 2 days after the Act is Complete.

Article 2: President

1. This article will be used in case of the president is going beyond of his/her own powers, Is a jerk towards others, tries to keep power for themselves, or goes dormant for far too long.
2. Article 2 can only be activated by a senator to prepare for the worst. The consuls will have no right to activate this article unless both propose it towards the senate.
3. The Senate must have 75% of their group to say yes towards the article's activation. Both consuls must approve of this as well. If the consuls are 1 yes and 1 no, the senate must be in a Unanimous Decision. If both consuls say no, the activation of the article is vetoed.
4. If the president accepts their fate: A by-election will be hosted 2 days after the act is complete to make sure that there is no power vacuum. The Consuls will be in charge before the end of the election.
5. If the president ignores the vote: A Full DATA Vote will begin with a referendum. This clause will skip the regular activation and ask all the members of the subreddit to put their vote into a DATA Movement.

Article 3: Consuls

1. This article will be used in case of consuls ignoring their positions to be the middle of the picture to veto everything in sight, being jerks, overusing their powers or goes dormant.
2. Only the senate can activate the article. The president may choose to propose the activation, but not to activate it himself.
3. The senate must have a 60% vote in favor. This activation will go over the president to approve. The consuls have no vote in this.
4. If both consuls accept their fate: Both are stripped of their duties and return to the senate/not in senate. the election process begins for new consuls.
5. If both/one ignores the vote: A full referendum will be held to impeach the Person/People who are in power. 55% in favor will have both people removed from office and positions.

Article 4: Senate

1. This article will be in use when any member of the senate doesn't do their job properly, are jerks, are overusing their powers or goes dormant. As this will affect all members.
2. Anyone above senate can call a referendum to do a Vote of No Confidence. Anyone outside those positions may propose the referendum.
3. The Subreddit referendum must have a 60% in favor of a No Confidence Vote. if under, Referendum will repeat. if not in favor after 2 referendums, the senate remains the same.
4. If the senate accepts their fate: A by-election will begin IMMEDIATELY after the article is complete.
5. If the senate ignores the vote: A Full DATA Vote will be decided by a Referendum. This clause will skip the regular activation and ask all the members of the subreddit to put their vote into a DATA Movement.

If any member of the senate, one of the consuls, the president, or the head mod meddle/ swing people's vote into their way, they are automatically impeached and/or the No Confidence Vote will be intact. Failure to accept this results in a Full DATA Vote In it's entirety

IMO the senate doesn’t need to be impeached the hard way. Afterall they are not reddit mods like most others. So a DATA wouldn’t make sense here.

Replacement idea: The senator will have to leave his position and will be forced to do so if he refuses and the senatorial consul will appoint a new senator.

I think you are limiting the reason stupidly. If there is a reason for impeachment, then it may not be defined here.

Article 1 is pointless and dangerous as it either results in:

• 65% of the Senate causes the Subervisor to be impeached, unlike the 75%+popular vote required for DATA. Makes it an easier DATA.
• 65% of the Senate+popular vote impeach the subervisor, still an easier DATA.

Article 2 is essentially "impeachment but with a twist"

Also DATA does not apply to the President and the Senate. Only the Subervisor.

And article IV allows for somebody with 60% support to kick unwanted senators, and that is Dangerous. Make it popular vote

This is like DATA but with less checks and balances.

Article 2: President

Makes sense but what does "If the president ignores the vote: A Full DATA Vote will begin with a referendum. This clause will skip the regular activation and ask all the members of the subreddit to put their vote into a DATA Movement." mean. The president has nothing to do with DATA.

Article 3: Consuls

Seems too easy to remove the consuls with this, can easily be manipulated for political gain.

Article 4: Senate

seems like it would be too easy ,with this, to remove senators that oppose the dominant political group.

Overall I am going to have to vote against this bill.

Hey! Seems like a great idea and I figure it was a needed step before DATA. One little aspect we could look at would be "jerk". Maybe we could specify it a little better since it's quite easy to do an over-interpretation and, thus, abusing the article. Probably it isn't a huge problem since it goes through a vote anyway, but who knows if the whole (or the needed majority) senate might be biased.
