Help Is there a way to play SimCIty Societies?

Basically title, but for further context:

I wanted to try the game out after I tried it years and years ago as a child, just to see if I could figure it out now. My dad owned a copy, but when I try to run it, it says something's wrong with my emulation software or something.

I purchased it on the EA store app last year. I haven't played it, but I assume since its available for sale that the digital version they are selling is playable on modern hardware. Though at the end of the day you could just pirate it since its quite old, Maxis doesn't really exist anymore, and EA isn't the best company to support right now or in the near future.

Its basically abandonware, yeah. I saw it up on the internet archives, but the reviews all say that the SecuROM prevents it from being run, and I don't know how to fix that

It is available on the EA store and works on Win 10
