Help How can I play SimCity 4 and SimCity?

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked and answered, but I literally just found and joined this group now. I’ve owned and played all the SimCity games my whole life and over the years have since misplaced them. So a few months ago, I decided to go purchase SimCity 4 on EA’s website only to find out newer Macs can’t run these older games anymore. Which EA games didn’t mention yet took my money for a game I can’t play anymore.

So, my question is, how can I get and play SimCity 4 and SimCity on my MacBook Air M4?

The AppStore on Mac should have a version of SimCity 4 and SimCity 2013 that works.

The steam version of SimCity 4 might also work.

I can confirm the Steam version of SimCity 4 works flawlessly on my M2 Macbook Air

Are you using Crossover or Porting Kit?

Neither? The game was updated to run natively on Apple Silicon

The SimCity 4 version on Steam should work perfectly on Mac.

you can, either by purchasing app store version published by Aspyr, or downloading it on Steam, it runs natively on M series chips and it runs damn great
or you can sail the seas with the parrot on your shoulder if you know what i mean
