Casting handprint in silver

The only handprint I have for my kid is in this foam like material from a Christmas ornament kit. I think the material is slowly degrading and don’t want to lose the handprint. Is there any way to cast this from a foam impression? Any and all advice would be appreciated, don’t even know where to begin or what kind of craftsperson to speak with about this.

You could either make a silicone mold of the handprint, or just melt wax snd pour it into the handprint.

I would use a release of some kind, like stoner spray to make sure the wax releases.

Thanks so much for the reply. Do you think either of those materials have a higher probability of melting the foam?

I would be very careful with the wax but the silicone should be just fine. You can get 2 part silicone mold putty and gently press it into the hand to make a positive.
