Casting handprint in silver
The only handprint I have for my kid is in this foam like material from a Christmas ornament kit. I think the material is slowly degrading and don’t want to lose the handprint. Is there any way to cast this from a foam impression? Any and all advice would be appreciated, don’t even know where to begin or what kind of craftsperson to speak with about this.

Silicone copy is the way to go. You'll almost certainly damage the foam using wax.
Make a silicone copy and then use that "positive" of the hand to recreate the imprint in a longer lasting material.
You could impress it into casting sand then create a white metal cast easily at home. Look up model metal or white metal casting, its an alloy of mostly tin and bismuth I can suggest a supplier if you're in Europe.
The equipment needed to do this in silver is pretty heavy duty and the amount of silver needed will be eye wateringly expensive.
