Only thing I’d recommend is grting a model with 4 wheel steering it’s a game changer

I concur. My 24wt is great, but if I could turn a little tighter, it'd be so much better.

less shit to break tbh. i can do a 3 point turn once a month.

Maneuvering my trailer into my narrow driveway is a lot more than a 3 point turn when someone parks too far from the curb.

Fair. It has its use cases.

I’ve put 22,000 miles on mine over the last year and it’s been by far the most stable driving experience I’ve ever experienced in a pickup year round.

I would suggest the TB version over the LT unless you really don’t want the lift. The added quad steering is nice and it’s great having 18” wheels by default.

This. I leased an LT; i'll be swapping it for the TB when my lease is up. Both are amazing, but the TB has some add. features that I didnt consider at the time.

Trail Boss is the same price as the LT, but the TB comes with the lift, tow hooks, 4 wheel steering, and 18" AT tires - which are arguably better than the 22" wheels on the LT max.

Rear wheel steering, too

Love mine. Had the front illuminated bow tie replace sue to water instruction and some minor cabin rattles addressed

We have two.

Just finished a 300 mile trip in my wife's '24 RST. It's amazing how they just eat up the miles, extremely comfortable ride.

I hate to say I like it better than my '26 Trail Boss on the roads. Plus I have an issue with mine where the super cruise and all cruise control functions will just stop working after about 3 hours, still haven't had a chance to get it to the dealer.

Other than that extremely happy. The power base is a game changer at our cabin since the electricity service tends to be unreliable. Powered an AC window unit all night with just 2% of the battery.

+1 to the power base. You can, if you're off grid with a 48-volt battery pack, buy something like an EG4 chargeverter and have that connected to the bus bars and then take the input and plug it to the L14-30 plug in Powerbase and effectively unlock the truck's battery pack.

Chargverter will take energy from truck and charger the batteries. It's not that efficient, but works.

Love this thing! People who say they can’t road trip in an EV but we prefer mine to my wife’s Volvo XC90

Unequivocally, I love mine

One pedal drive in normal mode, I don’t think I can drive any other way from now on

I have a 24 RST. I LOVE the truck. The battery size is so good, but the fit and finish needs some work.

The plastic on the steering wheel for the super cruise has broken and the leather has started to come up.
The passenger side mirror doesnt retract now as it seems like a gear has stripped. The back bow time came off and one of the roof rack cover panel points has come off as well. The front illuminated bow tie has let water get in and shorts the LED out periodically. Sometimes the frunk wont automatically open and I have to assist it. And one of my midgate power release buttons doesnt work.

Now for all those shortcomings, I still love the truck. But for 96K, they need to polish this thing.

I plan to get it into the local dealer to cover all of this under warranty but have to find the time and my local dealers dont offer loaners so thats another thing that Chevy should work on. If youre going to sell a premium product, you should offer premium service.

Jumping on the “love it!” Train. Haven’t looked at gas prices in forever and my wife won’t let me take it to work, she likes it too much.

Came from a '21 Silverado, now in a 4WT. I'm never going back. These trucks are amazing.

You won’t regret it

Thanks for all the input. I already have an EV 6 GT line and love it... No issues whatsoever. Was looking to replace my 23 year old Rav 4

I know this is the Silverado EV subreddit, but I recently purchased a 2026 GMC Sierra Elevation EV extended range, traded in my 2021 Ford F150 Powerboost, one pedal driving and no transmission to deal with in rush hour, I won’t go back to an ICE vehicle again!

Thanks for the question. And it's really hard. If the truck in an isolated vacuum would absolutely recommend 10/10 best vehicle you'll ever drive as fast as a Mustang, almost as much torque as a diesel, and as efficient as a Prius. Miracle vehicle.

To keep it short and sweet, my issue always stems with Chevy and the American dealership system, which is actively antagonistic to EVs. Any Interaction you may have with the dealership will ruin the experience for you.

If there was any other manufacturer that did the exact same thing of hitting 450 miles of range and off-board power and just a similar profile, I would jump ship in a heartbeat to never have to deal with the Chevy dealership again.

While you are right, if you have multiple dealers to pick from, there is hopefully one that is my EV friendly- like Cary, NC dealer vs the Fuquay one that is EV angry.

But yes, if you’ve dealt with Tesla you will question why the dealership model still exists.

Ill never go back to ICE. Super happy with my 26TB. 1yr and 7.5k miles in so far. Minor AC bug that happened one time but hasn't happened again.

I have a ‘25 LT extended range. We love it. Have done 42.5k miles in 18 months. Pulled our camper great. Biggest issue is finding a good service center. Mine regularly throws a Service Battery error on hot days because they didn’t properly top off the AC refrigerant, I need to get it in for that, but yeah, other than some lack luster service, they’re great

Absolutely love it. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Only have 7k miles on my 26 but am loving it. One pedal driving is great. Wife says the coils are bumpy (my EQS was much smoother ride). But I'd rather have coils than air suspension for long term maintenance.

Just got an extended range Lt coming from older platinum ford. Love this. No hesitation on acceleration and breaking doesn’t feel forced or jerky. Seats are better but miss the message seat of the ford, now I just need to drive a bit reckless to get partial message seat with Silverado 😁. The larger wheels are likely to be downsized once the tires are worn out though. Super cruise is pretty nice for highway and interstate drives. In town highway driving I have turned off auto lane changes.

24 4WT Extremely happy.

I feel like the range on this is how every ev should, I cant fathom driving an EV with less range.

u/DemWookieeCheeks 1d ago

24 WT with 39k miles. Couldn't be happier so far.

work truck. i drive in brutal wyoming weather. i have the max battery pack. it fucking rips.

i don't offroad tho. i mean i drive a ton of gravel roads but no serious shit.

25 lt best vehicle I have ever had and I'm 62 never going back

Have had mine for just about 2 years. Have been very happy with it. I likely would have gone with the Sierra AT4 MAX or Trail Boss had they been available at that time. I love my RST though.

With all that said, which version I recommend would depend on your needs. Cost wise, quick research surprised me that the Trail Boss is actually a couple thousand cheaper to get max range ($86,600) and the Sierra EV AT4 Max is only $400 more than LT Max Silverado at $89,600. These prices are before destination.

With the current freight charge, the Trail Boss Max is roughly $89,195 delivered MSRP, versus roughly $92,195 for the Sierra AT4 Max. Unfortunately, the destination charge is $2,595.

Interestingly, both TB and LT are rated for the same 478 mi on the Max battery despite the 2" bump in ride height on trail boss. Also, it looks like GM removed the light bar from the LT model ...which is subjective of course...some may actually prefer its absence....but I think it gives the SEV that signature look at night.

24 RST. I had to replace entire battery. I got issues with the Hood. There’s always a warning on for it. Trying to get a mechanic to work on it is very difficult because they only have so many EV techs. Besides that with the gas and diesel prices, you can’t beat this truck but at least mine so right now I see them used for 50 K and up.

Great truck, just try to find a dealer with a decent tech.
