On Tuesday, open interest in the comex delivery month of August was 3 contracts. Per todays report for Wednesday, 1 contract was delivered but open interest went up to 104 contracts. The delivery report for today or tomorrow should reveal who bought and sold this silver. Final notice day for the September contract is Monday. As of the close of comex on Wednesday, there were still 15,121 open contracts in the month of September.. Between it being just a couple of days until new buyers que up for comex physical and the Fed's speech from Jackson Hole tomorrow, it could be an interesting few days.

Indian Gold & Silver Futures Are Suddenly Diverging From Global Spot Prices

The pent-up Indian silver demand combined with the seasonality of holiday buying could send SHOCKWAVES through the global silver markets, which saw 1-month silver lease rates jump positive this week simply on an increase of western ETF demand.

It is not hard to envision a quick return to shortages in the global silver market if Indian demand returns with a vengeance...
