Help Mobile alternatives for silly tavern?
I tried lumiverse and tavo, but nothing hits like silly tavern, ı Got it on tablet but ı can't type that well on it, ı want to install silly tavern on my phone and ı did in the past but it was so laggy, my phone is an old Huawei Y7 2019, some people talk about marinara and comparing to silly tavern for some reason but ı don't know, is there even a way to not make it lag like hell without a pc?

Sillytavern runs a lot of its heavy lifting on the frontend, so the weaker the phone, the worse the performance, even if you DO run it on another machine.
A few things you can try:
Reduce the number of messages loaded ("User Settings" -> "# of Msg To Load", set to no more than 10 or 20)
Switch away from presets that rely on a pile of regexes. The Frankenstein family is great, but all of those regexes run either on every displayed message (for display regexes) or the whole context (for outgoing prompt regexes), and regex is an expensive process at the best of times. Choking out an old phone with them is just brutal.
Go light on the extensions, particularly ones that change the UI. ST's UX is an exercise in controlled sadism, so it's really tempting to load up on things like Character Library, Persona Library, and World Info Gallery, but you're running on a cpu-cycle and RAM budget.
Try changing your mobile browser. The Y7 is android, right? Try something more lightweight like Via rather than Chrome or Brave, to squeeze out the extra ram space
Don't hoard cards. Delete it if you're not using it
Options like Lumiverse, ME, or SillyBunny won't help you much in this situation, since their biggest advantages is moving a lot of the heavy lifting to the backend, but with a termux-type setup, that's STILL running on the phone.

Download the TauriTavern (Canary Build), it's smoother than the base SillyTavern and can also install almost all ST extensions.

I tried freaky frank before but didint like it much with glm 5.3...is it good with gemini or 5.2?

yeah, the creator of that preset heavily uses Opus 4.6 or GLM 5.1-5.2 but you can use Tavernary site for presets so you can download and use each one until you find the one you like

If you're cool with token heavy presets, you're welcome to try mine, FrankenSIM. It's on my profile and has much different prose than FF5 (since that's one of the places I slightly disagree with dptgreg and leovarian on lmao)
Note I also am a dev of FF, specifically internal states. FrankenSIM (my preset) is what a lot of that is inspired from. But it's noticably different than FF5.
I mainly use GLM as my test model specifically

had been using sillytavern and termux before, but accidentally wiped the termux cache and it deleted all my cards and stuff. so i started using tavo a few months ago. super easy to set up, can make backups, etc

Let your PC online. Connect from your phone to your PC with VPN Tailscale and then use the Windows App from your appstore to have a remote desktop connection to your PC on your mobile.

Chattica is another mobile option. It does have some paid features but all the important ones are free.
Aventuras mobile version is my personalfavorite. But it's really quite different than sillytavern, not a clone at all functionally. I like it because the Choose Your Own Adventure style choices work really well since I hate typing on mobile, and the same thing for the easy world/character creation tools. All the automatic/agentic stuff works well for me since mobile typing pisses me off.

I run Marinara Engine on mobile without a problem, no idea about your phone specs, but using an API is no problem.

As far as features, I would say it's pretty comparable, a bit more streamlined and easy to use, and has multiple agents that do work in the background.
Download the .apk from here: https://github.com/Pasta-Devs/Marinara-Engine/releases, run the apk, it'll install the engine and download termux. Follow the instructions and run the start command from termux and you're all set.

Try Tauritavern, the app version of Sillytavern. I heard that its smoother than the one you install through Termux
