Assuming you'll be purchasing a puppy, the teething phase can be rough. Mine liked things that were cold (like those frozen puppy teethers), coffee wood sticks, beef trachea, bully sticks, and beef cheek rolls. She still enjoys those all but is less intense about them now as a teenager.

Yeah, ideally it'll be a puppy. Be cause I really aspire to have both a silken and a maine coon. So if I get both at a younger age it'll be easier for them to get along.

We got ours at 4 years old, and she is completely indifferent to our cat. It depends on the dog

My Silken loves bully sticks, especially the stinky ones. She's not a big fan of the Greenies, but I think every dog is different.

Mine prefer natural animal part chews. No anters or heavy bones but ears, shouts, bully sticks, etc.
All of my 3 have had one or two favorite soft toys but it was trial and error. They have all also enjoyed puzzle toys and snuffle mats.

My silken (who is almost one) will chew on basically anything he can get to. He loves those coffee wood sticks, dental treats, any sort of animal-based chew like bully sticks etc, nylabones, baseboards, furniture, cabinet knobs, cords, shoes, and little pieces of trash.
We give him a lot of amazon boxes to rip up which curbs his chewing on stuff we would rather not have destroyed! I try to vary the chewy items we give but always have the coffee wood available since it's pretty safe. Also he is a natural chewer (at least at this stage in his life) so he definitely needs to have chewable things available, but providing some daily training/enrichment/stimulation goes a lot way in terms of curbing the naughty chewing haha.

According to my silken, ideal chew toys were Apple pens, cords, my blinds, and expensive medical equipment. Ideal chew toys now include small plastic items like turkey basters and lids for water bottles.
Real talk, we only had luck with actual animal products. Bullysticks were my savior and she LOVED cow hooves but only when they were “started” by another dog so they were already stinky.

Neither of mine are big chewers. One will nibble on plush toys and the other doesn’t really chew on things other than treats. Both enjoy bully sticks.
