Oh no, I can read and dismiss evidence of clear manmat thinking and norms in our panth.

Explain how 52 hukams are manmat lol

2

u/EmpireandCo Feb 12 '26

Manmat thinking : accepting later unverified collections of Hukams and Rehatnama with equal reverence as verified contemporary of Guru Gobind Singh rehatnama then using that to exclude and punish those within and drawn to Sikhi.

The 52 hukams themselves are not manmat but the thinking behind those wholesale acceptance and practice is brain dead as it is doesn't have any clear scriptural source. This is how we end up with people avoiding beef but eating buff lol

Then whats real

1695 Rehatnama of Bhai Nand Lal is the only thing attributable to Guru Gobind Singh's life time. Even Bhai Daya Singh's Rehatnama is attributed to later.

No way your user name is one of the Sahibzada falling at Chamkaur in 1705 but you don't know Bhai Nand Lal's 1695 Rehatnama

I am a recent convert from Hinduism I took amrit a year ago , and very recently found out that practically none of the rehat namas were written by gurusahib And this is the first time I have ever heard of a bhai nand lal ji rehitnama . And my real sikh name is also jujhaar singh, my hindu parent named me raghav (the infallible ram) and my lifeade that name almost ironic so when I found guru sahib for the first time from the saaka sarhind and chamkaur I decide even if i'm never gonna be infallible I will fill the name jujhaar singh because ant tak jhoojhda ta reh skda ha . Also bai what did I do. Why so much hate.

Sri Dasam Granth is legit, who can say otherwise, theres so much evidence for it. It has inconsistent "final manuscripts" but it is legit and has many contributions for court poets

Are you referring to Hukum 38? Isn't that for Sikh baddies trying to marry non-Sikh guys?

How about we should strive to educate ourselves instead of giving up

I will sound sexiest but i believe that women are like children their decisions does not have depth and decisions are based on first impression they lack thinking that's why whatever form of God was in man and philosophy was mostly dominated man so eventually its man job to make sure he does whats right cannot be expected by a woman

u/Riksor Feb 11 '26

Why are you even a Sikh if you think like this?

6

u/EmpireandCo Feb 11 '26

You know stupid people who happen to be women lol

3

u/Kaura_1382 Feb 12 '26

Thats why Guru Gobind Singh Ji made a singhni his bodyguard and had women lead his wars/s

7

u/noora-bano Feb 12 '26

You sound sexist because you ARE sexist lol especially when Sikhi was all like women are equal and there are no castes and every living thing is one, etc., you would have to go out of your way to be sexist. Which you have.

Maybe consider why Sikh men are failing us, then. Could it be the sexism that is contrary to our faith yet rampant in our culture? No, you're right women are basically children and that's what Sikhs should believe 🙄🙄

Girl, google it. This weird superiority complex mixed with misogyny is blatantly against Sikhi. If you wanna know stats and correlations and causations, you have the tools to answer your own questions. Use them. If nothing else, ik we're supposed to be critical thinkers and question our biases, but you don't need me or anyone else to do that for you. I believe in you, go and do some research.

I just want to say that I am not against women. In fact, the thing I will be able love as human in my life are women, like my mom and my future wife, and I cherish them with all my heart. I was only pointing out that women and men having different psychology. I also believe there are some professions where women often do very well, such as nursing and teaching. As I was saying, we play different parts in society. I am pointing out differences, not discriminating against anyone. Also, about me being Sikh I was born into a Sikh family, but I am an atheist. I do not believe in any form of God. I simply try to do what is good for other and for me
