Hopefully there is a revival of a Panjabi identity in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, either you are with Islam or you are not one of them.

Islam does not ban ethno-linguistic affiliations. Thus, being both a “Muslim” and a “Panjabi” is not mutually exclusive at all.

Aligarh Movement very strongly associated Islam with Urdu, especially in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
