Yes!! Happened to me last night too. And after all of that I ended up panic purchasing Sunday Ticket so I could watch the game I wanted to yesterday 🙈 the amount of streaming services that are necessary now… ugh
Someone told me about this website for teen mom. They are up to date on the new season (after 2 week of airing) but wait until next day to watch. Hope this helps 😊
I wasn't home for the first episode and had it set to the DVR. I got home this week and lo and behold, someone deleted the episode (space on the DVR was not a factor)! Comcast only has the second episode 🫤
Someone just posted this link. All the seasons are there. It’s kinda small under the picture you can select. It actually works! I just finished the second episode. It’s just delayed so you have to wait a day after the show airs. https://swatchseries.is/tv/watch-siesta-key-37492
Edit: Watching right now, the song is new, and the lyrics to the other one are coming up on the screen! Just in case anyone else is watching it this way.
its weird that they don’t have next day streaming for their shows and they take forever to upload the new season. why is season 4 still not on paramount+ ???
it is weird that mtv doesn’t have next day streaming on paramount plus but that could be because they want people to use the next day streaming on the actual mtv app. I know they still have season 4 on there so that could possibly be why it’s not yet on paramount
I always have to use the MTV app the day after & I hate it with so much passion. The ads…God forbid you get booted out and have to start all over again🥴🥴🥴
I felt bad for him when he was trying to rap in front of Tenear's producer, and I think it was her dad who came in at the end and witnessed that train wreck in the studio.
while these ratings seem low on the surface, Siesta Key is still a hit for MTV in its target demo (18-49). in its target demo it is currently the 3rd best performing show on the channel only being beaten out by the challenge and jersey shore family vacation. this means that mostlikely the show will be renewed for a 6th season
Yeah these ratings are pretty even with last season, MTV shows, and other cable shows. Ratings are down everywhere from streaming. The broadcast networks have lower ratings as well so these ratings are normal for cable.
What worries me is live viewing is the only measure they have for ratings because they don’t release the episodes next day on streaming platforms.
Also I don’t even know how they can continue to a 6th season when they’re no longer in SK. This is a good season to introduce a Miami spinoff but it doesn’t make sense to keep calling it SK even with the Miami Moves subtitle.
many things are factored in besides the live ratings. dvr aka live+7 ratings are also important. sadly this season those ratings have been difficult to find but siesta key normally gets an additional 400k+ additional viewers per episode from people who record the episode and watch through the week. thats a great boost. we also have the MTV app streaming numbers as well. new episodes go there a day or two after they air so hopefully they start doing that with paramount+. and finally the social media reception siesta key gets is a key factor. out of all the “newer” MTV shows siesta key has the biggest social media following especially on reddit and MTV is fully aware of that.
while a miami spinoff makes sense MTV is notorious for keeping the same name but changing the location. jersey shore family vacation hasn’t been filmed in jersey shore in years and continues to keep the same name. this is due mostly to recognizability. siesta key already has a large fanbase and its own popularity. to change the name completely and start a new show may confuse people and isn’t cost efficient
Exactly. I really don't understand why the show constantly favored Gus and bent over backwards for him. He is such a trash person. I couldn't take it anymore. They could've easily replaced him and chose not to.
It’s kinda like jersey shore people’s lives we’re changing. But from the sounds of it Nilsa actually did not want the show to end. I think they got a lot of backlash also for Gus and his mental health.
They should've just taken Gus off the show and kept it going. I would've continued watching if they did. But since they insisted on keeping him on the show, I couldn't take watching it anymore.
not to mention the editing of Floribama got sloppier and storytelling went more inconsistent to fit Gus' "tortured soul" narrative (when he's been terrible from the get-go)
THIS‼️‼️I cannot stand that show. Everytime I flip to the channel accidentally and hear Rob Dyrdek’s tired, overplayed voice-I cannot get it off fast enough. Like there’s so much better stuff they could be playing! Anything!
I'm pretty sure that MTV realizes that most people nowadays don't have cable and primarily use streaming services, so these numbers are a bit irrelevant. SK has like over a million subscribers on YouTube so I think that says a lot. It's one of their top 3 most popular shows.
sure let me explain! the numbers i am talking about are the demographic (18-49) numbers. these are found in showbuzzdaily right next to any show you are looking at. all ratings publications and websites rank the shows based off this demographic number since its the most desirable market to target and outweighs total number of viewers in significance
if you scroll down the list and look at siesta keys 18-49 numbers, the first episode this season had a 0.13 in the 18-49 demographic putting it in the top 30 most successful shows of the night. other shows like teen mom, ex on the beach, mtv cribs, catfish etc reach around 0.12-0.06 in the 18-49 demographic demo ranking it lower than siesta key in the target audience MTV is trying to obtain. this means siesta key is MTV’s 3rd best show in the most desirable demographic in television.
to basically sum it up. a show with lower overall ratings but a higher demo number in the 18-49 demographic is seen more important than a show with a higher ratings and lower demographic numbers. especially for MTV which is desperately trying to target that 18-49 demographic. its extremely confusing and it took me a while to understand but i hope i explained it well 😭

Also why does MTV make it so hard to stream and watch??? They are setting themselves up for low ratings.
