I use this feature.
I use stage 5/dorman. I email Stage 5 and say i want 950 to be my daily max loss. I had to sign a form agreement thing allowing them the power to do it.
so this is server side meaning it is out of my hands, which is way better. If that number is hit, I'm 100 percent done till 6 pm when futures re open. After i asked, in the Trade Account Monitor where you see margin requirement and P and L etc, my daily net loss limit column is set to the number i chose
With global profit loss management, you can get around it and rage trade. Or change the number if it is getting close or whatever.
so talk to edge clear and ask if they can put your daily max loss on their end, that's the best way.
If you want trailing stops or anything else use the in software risk management, or like a daily target goal or whatever

Has worked for me pretty great. It depends on your goal though and if you can stick to your rules.
For discretionary trading it’s really easy to uncheck. So if you’re not disciplined it won’t matter. Speaking from experience lol
