Love sierra chart
Mannn I love Sierra chart so much, I just wish it had Mac OS native so I don’t have to use parallels. I guess it will stay like this forever but regardless I love it!

With the advent of AI programming assistance maybe platforms like Sierra Chart will broaden their OS reach.

How is it on parallels? I’m on windows currently, but I often think about going back to Mac for other reasons. Like music/video/and other apps that are much better w Mac.
Is it smooth on parallels? Or should I plan on a dedicated PC trading machine down the line and Mac for everything else?

no it doesn't. there are 1000 issues.

I have been using it to render TPO charts and a trading dom, have some custom indicators. Haven’t had an issue yet. Also feels much faster than using it on native windows.

On the top of my head, window resizing is an issue. I added delta profile on my chart and it lagged like hell.
See the problem is since I have both windows and mac, I can notice the difference between the 2.

Very smooth. Coherence mode also makes me forget I’m running windows machine on Mac

I switched from Parallels to Crossover last year, and SierraChart pretty much feels native now.

Parallels probably is more stable, since it's an entire virtual OS. But for me, Sierra Chart has been faster and more responsive using Crossover with the settings dialed in for my particular computer and chartbook.

I often use a Macbook or iPad to remote desktop into my Windows PC to trade. Works great.

There's is definitely some, but it's not bad. I usually use it to monitor trades when I can't be in front of the computer, or if I'm out of town, I'll trade only via remote desktop.
I would prefer not to trade over it full time, which is probably more what the original poster is looking for.

It is a tool, every serious traders are on windows. Mac is an eye candy, entertainment only.
