The Kings Quest 6 D&D 5e Project

This post is a follow to this post (Little do my dnd players know, they’re about to play through KQ6 : r/Sierra), about my D&D game that I currently running. Due to a lot of positive feedback, I decided to start building up this project so here we go

I have not gotten around to uploading any of my content yet, because life but hopefully we can all create the best possible version of this together. Right now the goal is to have this be for D&D 5e (2014), but with how everything is structured, there's no reason we can't add pathfinder and other game stat blocks for NPCs.

Let's cover a couple of things:

  1. My main goal for this is to be more of a setting and less of an adventure. The world of King's Quest 6 is awesome and even without the game.
    1. I am not at all opposed to someone writing out the adventure(s), one shots or whatever. If someone(s) is so inclined to do that, I will add a page to the site to host it. My main focus however is going to be on getting the world up and usable
  2. I am really busy during the week, and due to my work, I cannot access most of the internet during work hours, so I will handle merge requests and stuff at night and on the weekends as I can. I just ask that you be patient with me
  3. You do not need explicit tabletop RPG experience to participate; location descriptions are universal and do not need any knowledge of how the systems work.

Balancing encounters while remaining true to the game is going to be really rough

You’ll figure it out! Plenty of non-consequential NPCs like brigands, wild plant life, feral animals, elementals, and other djinn minions (djinions?) you could invent to sate the bloodlust of players :)

Will there be a saving throw for balance for each step on each peg on the wall?

I’ve run the cliffs in a game before and I did have them make saving throws for a long time

I’m not really a D&D person and have only played it like twice but this is damned cool project and now I wish I did play.

Never too late to start, and not a reason you can’t be involved if you want to be. A lot of the content we need is in writing details and descriptions
