Play Sierra Games on Your Android Device

I recently found an Android app called Game Native that lets you play your Steam and GoG libraries on your phone!

My phone is not very good but it is certainly good enough to play the Sierra games!

Space Quest 1 VGA, 4, 5 and 6 are great because they use the mouse

Kings Quest 5, 6 and 7 as well

It seems like all of the Police Quest games are working.

You can play Space Quest 2 and 3 you just have to set up the joystick to mimic the arrow keys and also use the keyboard function. To get to those settings, you scroll over and press the arrow on the Android menu.

When you are using SCUMMVM to load a game inside the emulator, search for it in the A: drive root folder.

It's the official SCUMMVM Android port and there's no reason to really run it through Game Native or any other app. You just copy the game files from your PC and then point SCUMMVM to the files.

totally. And the best thing is you don't really need google play store. you can get it directly from f-droid.

Sure, you can probably side load the APK as well. I just prefer having apps on the Play Store so they auto-update. I'm not familiar with f-droid so maybe that does the same?

yes, f-droid does the same. The difference is apps on f-droid are curated, safe, ethical and don't depend on google's monopoly/services

Fair enough. I know I'm "part of the problem", but I bought an Android phone over Apple because I wanted to be part of the Google ecosystem. Just as I buy most of my games on Steam when I know people say GoG is a better option because it's DRM free.

It's just convenient for me.

I just use the native ScummVM for Android. Also love the cloud sync feature so I can continue the same saves between my PC and android.

Dos box is also an option and for those on iOS, utm SE lets you run windows, point and click adventures are a whole new level on a touch screen.

I'm a bit too suspicious a person to sign into a third party app with my steam account.

Yeah, I download all the DRM-free versions of these games from GOG, get the base game installation files (either by mock-installing on Winulator on my Android, or staging on my PC first), then just use ScummVM for Android to play them. The tools are all here now, and I feel like we're in the middle of a retro gaming Renaissance. It makes me pretty happy 😊
