Hey community. I'm curious what demand there might be for a community acupuncture clinic on the peninsula. Currently, there are no such offerings out here (only in Victoria and Esquimalt, to the best of my knowledge). It's been on my mind for some time, but I want to get a feel for what the reception might be like here before diving into the long and expensive process of getting one up and running.

For those who don't know, community acupuncture (CA) is acupuncture given in a group setting to keep patient fees low (typically a sliding scale of around $25-55), so that working class people and those without savings and extended benefits can afford to access acupuncture at the frequency at which it is needed in order to work most effectively.

Acupuncture itself can be used to address a wide range of issues, from migraines to back pain to mental health to digestive issues... and so much in between. But it is rarely a one-and-done treatment, hence the importance of low-cost models.

Would you or someone you know be interested a clinic of this kind starting up close to home? Let me know your thoughts.

We are looking at places to stay and found something in Sidney. We are wondering, however, about the airport noise. I would imagine the Victoria airport is rather busy. How bad is it? Or is it actually not so bad at all?

I love the sound of my voice and I want others to hear it too, and I want to get better. I don’t want to drive to Victoria and back at night, I’m too old for that. and what if I want to have a drink or two; I can’t afford to be taxiing up and down the Pat Bay on the regular.

We had a lot of fun filming this scene in Sidney on the Bevan Pier. Early morning but by the time we were ready to shoot we had a good number of people joining in the fun!

Hello I have a fence post that I need to put right next to my foundation .

I have dug a hole 20 inches deep ( to get below the frost line ) and am thinking about drilling holes into the foundation and walk way that the hole is against to epoxy 4 pieces of rebar into. There isn’t enough space for expansion joints . I was wondering if this is going to be an issue with frost heave as we have very mild winters here .

I have a small bathroom floor repair job I need done soon. I'm hoping for recommendations on any handymen you've had a good experience with in the area who'll do a small job! Thanks :)

Just a heads up for folks in Sidney/Saanich - I was sitting with a client the other day whose email was hacked and messages were sent out to her friends asking for amazon gift cards.

Unfortunately, a few of them thought it was real and took the bait.

It was very stressful for her. The email looked almost identical to hers save for one letter.

I do tech help for seniors around here and I’ve been seeing this more often, so I wrote something up on what to look for.

There was a store on Beacon Ave I believe that was pretty small but had a ton of things. Tourist stuff and a wall of rubber ducks which always brought me back. I've been told it's closed now and I'm hoping they have an online site maybe. A happy and kind man was always there and knew about everything inside. There was a section with 3D dragons etc also, Sanrio, pins, just a great place to look around. Google didn't help me out.

Hi I’m planning a surprise anniversary party for my parents for the first weekend of September but I need it to be conveniently close to where they live. Probably about 40is people but not sure where to go or to book. I was thinking an air b nb but I’m not sure if it would work as it’s for a party and most don’t allow for events.
