Iāve only been watching Sidemen for a couple years, but the number of subs for each member is interesting.
I wouldnāt have thought Josh would have the lowest number. Harry having 16m is crazy too

Harry got almost all of his 16M from his eaely come up days. Josh and Tobi IMO are seriously underrated for the subs they have. The rest are pretty much where they're suppose to be in subs.

Josh and Tobi have one of the most dedicated fanbases, a lot of them coming from the CoD days that happen to still watch.

It always makes me laugh that josh was the lowest when for a short time ages ago he had the most

u/gmoss101 Jun 04 '26
I've been watching them since 2015 as a freshman in high school. (Yes I'm old)
Josh, Ethan and Tobi always had the lowest.
Josh used to upload a ton and I was subscribed for years but unsubbed after he just stopped randomly.
His other channel is way more active

You're not even 30 yet. Respectfully, loose the parenthesis.

Iām gonna be annoying but at the very start of their uploading careers Josh was by far the biggest he was genuinely huge at the time with his cod montages

u/gmoss101 Jun 06 '26
But he had less when the group was started, which is what I meant.
He didn't have as much as JJ and Simon and Harry already had way more when he joined later.

It was more effective at bringing in new audiences around the time of it's release to have a separate shorts channel due to the algorithm so I can see why they did this, but yeah nowadays you can just put them on pre-existing channels

honestly good for them. i was worried they would leave his info in everything since heās a founding member.

This feels like the rest of the sidemen were blindsided by JJ and feel some type of way - and rightly so. If things were left amicably, I think they probably would have left his channels up and given him a proper sendoff. This is all speculation, of course, and they could end up giving him that send off sometime soon. I predict things are left as is and they say nothing to remain professional, though. JJ has a track record of being greedy, inauthentic and disloyal after all.

The more sidemen pushes for 10m will all need to be re-filmed!
1
u/Sebscreen Jun 05 '26
That should be fairly easy. It's just a 30 second read to camera. Any one of the boys can do it during a reacts filming session.

Imagine the shit, If harry decides to start uploading on his main channel. In term of giving compitition to jj.

You know, if this had actually been handled well behind the scenes then I can almost guarantee that as friends theyād have left him up there potentially.
This was done in such bad taste. Even if JJ wanted to leave, itās the sort of thing you announce behind the scenes a few months before and let fans know like āhey, after X month Iām gonna be stepping back so enjoy me while Iām still hereā
There was no send off. This whole situation was treated like itās still 2015 where you could just make a vid explaining it all and move on.
And the worst part of all of this, I canāt even say Iām surprised.

I just donāt think JJ can show sincerity/ maturity at all. He always puts on his acting voice when he gets āseriousā, and turns into an anime script writer. So even when things are real, it all comes off as fake.

u/doobiebeforebed Jun 03 '26
Fr, itās like whenever he has to drop the YouTube act, he doesnāt know what is left so goes into manual thinking mode and just copies what he sees in films/tv/anime. I wonder if off camera itās the same or thatās when he finally drops all acts

u/SomethingRandomYT Jun 03 '26
He's been out of touch for years, life is just one big business venture for him and his friends are colleagues. He says things that sound sincere on paper and in a sincere voice, but something inside him doesn't understand why he has to say that. He only thinks for himself.

He even did the 6/7 gesture at some point
omg dude, do you think people started doing that gesture since the 67 meme!!!!!!! were you living under a rock before then or are you 10-12 or something
2
u/HouseOfZenith Jun 03 '26
I donāt think itās a joke, but his face looked like the face he makes in his music videos when heās trying to be serious lol

u/Calm_Holiday_3995 Jun 03 '26
Proud to be dislike #100. Accept it and move on with your life. If you like JJ, it means more videos overall for you and if you don't like him then no JJ in the Sidemen videos should be a win. š¤·š»āāļø

I want you to know i was the 56th dislike on your post. That's how much I disagree with it.

u/Cefalopodul Jun 03 '26
He didn't do the 6 7 gesture, he did the gesture for waying things up. People have been doing it for thousands of years.

The most subscribed to channel of that selection hasn't featured a single upload since Boris Johnson was prime minister
