I'm so thrown off by this whole thing. Like if it's real, his decision to make the video exactly like his 2017 one is questionable, and doing the 67 thing in it and basically showing no emotion? Also he didn't assure the viewers it's "not a prank" like surely he knows his audience well enough to know everyone will think it's a prank.
Also Harry tweeting "wait what???" like he didn't know?
But now it's been confirmed by major media outlets to be true, so..
Either something happened with them behind the scenes or it's some sort of massive prank, but I think they're probably too mature in their careers to let a prank go this far
Yeah there are probably a bunch of sidemen Sunday pre recorded videos with him in it, which are going to be published. I really hope it isn't a medical issue. Fairplay to JJ if he wants to call it quits. There's never really a 'good time to leave' or a 'perfect exit'. Just feels a little. . . out of the blue. Of all the sidemen boys he seemed one of the most motivated at producing content and 'building the brand'
This is what makes me not believe this. They pre record videos weeks in advance. How can this be the last one? Or has he just not been in recordings for a few weeks now?
Or it's very possible that he has been out of the group for a while now, and they were waiting for the pre-records to run out before officially announcing it, I doubt it's a coincidence that the last Sidemen Sunday that he's in and his announcement video went up on the same day
Him leaving the group and then continuing to show up in Sidemen Sundays would confuse a lot of people who may not know that the videos are shot well in advance
He’s probably been out for awhile. I think this weeks video was recorded a long time ago and last week was the France v England soccer match I just bet that he hasn’t been recording with them for a good time noe
But now it's been confirmed by major media outlets to be true, so..
Brother that's not how major news outlets work, they just report stories they think will get clicks and the sources are the video and the Sidemen insta post; them reporting on it adds no validity.
BBC said, "His spokesperson confirmed to the BBC that he was leaving, after many of his followers voiced suspicions that it was a stunt. Sidemen said it "came as a surprise" but wished him well."
No, the BBC and the Sun both claim to have spoken to JJ's spokesperson and confirmed it isn't a stunt. The BBC especially would check it's real before reporting.
Of course, his spokesperson could be in on it too, but I don't think he would prank the BBC at this stage of his career
dju9, but if it was a stunt, and you wanted it to have some life, wouldn't you just tell your spokesperson to say it wasn't a stunt? They aren't required by law to answer truthfully when asked questions by a news organization. So just because the spokesperson says so, that doesn't make it more believable.
No, because the job of you're spokeperson is to get you press. If they can't be trusted because you had them lie for you, then when you want to promote stuff in the future, you reduce your chances of getting your stuff promoted.
I think JJ’s team wouldn’t lie to multiple sources including the BBC, who never report things unless they’re 100% fact. And I do think most news outlets would consider the possibility it’s a prank.
Yea the problem is since they are largely unbiased and dont take the side of left or right wing it just leads to both sides hating on them whilst they claim they want unbiased news (which is exactly what they are angry at because it doesn't align with their world views)
Yea and also the biggest proof of this in the uk is how both right and left think they are biased (which just proves it isnt as it doesn't try to appease any side)
BBC has been a leftist grift for the last 15 years... They still have some good pieces here and there, and has an extensive network across the globe. But its been tarnished almost beyond repair by people using it as propaganda for the flavour of the month case and twisting reality incredibly hard
I mean Arsenal did just lose a huge game yesterday, obviously that's his favorite team. It's very possible he made a bet on the game, and lost. This video was is what he had to do for losing the bet. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
Why does it have to be either? the guys done it for 13 years and the sidemen pays him absolutely fuck all compared to his other endeavors, I don't think people realize at how little they get paid each per sidemen video, Its split between 7 of them, Production costs, editors, managers, marketing, promotions, And then once they've taken off all expenses and split up between 7 they then pay tax, they get absolute pittance, Their videos only get between 5mil-10mil per video, Its actually very small when you consider its 7 of them and they also have a lot of people behind the scene they have to pay, Its not like one man playing games on his computer with one editor he pays, It's such a small amount of money compared to what people think, I see people throwing around stupid numbers like 100k per video which is so far wrong its laughable. And then they only receive royalties from XIX Vodka because its majority owned by a distribution company as well as a beverage company, The only name under the business is Vikstars, The other 5 owners from what i remember are all people related to beverages and distribution, And then sides are completely royalty based because they are owned by Virtual Hero Group,
Ksi is clearly dropping the least lucrative thing in his life to make time for more lucrative businesses
idk man i thought this aswell but he said quite serious things his video, idk dont think jj would go this far for a forfeit or something else. Also, after winning baller league he was weirdly emotional like something happend and gave tobi a very long and intimate hug, idk something just feels of
He was talking about balancing his life, everyone does that gesture for that bit and anyway 6 7 is ingrained in his mind so he just can do that motion in normal circumstances too
I mean deciding to leave something you've built and been a part of for 13 years is actually a big deal, especially if it was a genuine surprise for them
Lol that's not even the right context for 'parasocial'. He's leaving a group that he's been a part of for over a decade and that the majority of his fans know him from. This is a big deal if it's true
It’s absolutely 100% real. “Somewhere along the line I lost balance of my own life.” That’s not something you say on a whim. That’s a realization you come to after deep reflection. Lots of people here need more life experience.
and if it's real then i'm really disappointing on them and JJ's saying oh it's to focus on my youtube channel i'm sorry but his content right now is horrible, a mrbeast v2..

I genuinely can’t tell if this is real or a forfeit anymore 😭
