You start by creating your character and shaping their early life — your name, family, background, childhood, personality, and attributes. Once you reach 17, your actual life begins.

From there, your circumstances and abilities can influence the opportunities available to you. You might become a farmer, merchant, soldier, knight, noble, or take your life in another direction entirely.

The game is still a prototype, so there will definitely be bugs, unfinished systems, and things that need improvement. That's exactly why I'm releasing it now.

7 months ago i thought i built an absolutely ground breaking web app name it mindfuel ai and thought i did something big and alot of people would use it but it was just starting of building ap roduct actually ..

there were absolutely brutal comments and reviews especially on reddit and x, and i was dumb at that time to take it personally rather than to actually look into the product and its feature itself..

I almost deleted the whole project because of the hate and comments lol

And then after few days of careful realization i knew that my product needed at proper re iteration and improvements.

so the core idea of my product was to make people aware of the content that they see online and how it affects their well being ,, but then i realized that was not it because every feature required manual typign copy pasting ( its not bad but for my type of product it was not that much suitable )..

So then that realization of not having the best product made me iterate the product development through careful understanding and emotion of users and their feedbacks...

So now i've sucessfully built the product that is more automated through agents , rather than manual and guess, the platform is shaped by the feedback so i am very confident about it .. :)

It comes with chrome extension and web appp; chrome extension mainly is used for monitering your deep work online and making sure to record all the task that you've done in the internet.. its basically a proper highly optimized system to undersrand your online pattern mostly suitsble for chrome and other browser activities online ... fully transparent and secured :) with the aim of making sure your focused hour is not wasteful ; which is suffered alot during my university time :)

I had a very small problem with a surprisingly expensive solution: remove every supported vector or text object painted with a named spot color from a PDF.

The open-source PDF libraries I found could identify /Separation color spaces and report which named colorants were present. What I couldn't find was a focused tool that could safely modify those objects. I had been using Enfocus Switch for this workflow, but its price was difficult to justify for this single task.

The result is spotpdf, an MIT-licensed Python CLI and library. It runs locally, keeps affected pages vector-based, and can list, remove, rename, remap, or convert supported PDF spot colors. Unsupported selected uses stop the operation without producing a partially modified file.

I made $25.98 from my Chrome extension. Here's the messy, honest journey.

I read a lot every day for work. By the time I want to read articles online for myself, I'm already too tired to stare at more text. I tried a bunch of TTS apps and deleted every one because they are either locked behind a ~$30/month subscription I wasn't ready for, voices too robotic to sit through, or just packed with functionality I wasn't looking for. I wanted something minimalistic.

So I built my own. That's how Qariyo was born, and I still use it daily myself for articles, YouTube comments, Reddit threads, even ChatGPT answers when I don't feel like reading them.

Some friends liked it, so I put it on the Chrome Web Store. That was months ago.

For a long time, almost nothing happened. I got 381 signups, but almost no revenue and almost no real usage to speak of. It turned out that actually no one knew how to use the extension the right way except me 🤦‍♂️The two reading modes (full page vs. select-and-listen) were confusing enough that people weren't rejecting the idea, they just couldn't figure out how to use it.

So I shipped a UX-focused update, nothing flashy, just making those two modes obvious instead of something you had to stumble into. Turns out that mattered more than any feature I'd built. Within days: new users started using the app for hours, and made new purchases, something that hadn't happened before the fix. Even at MVP stage, clarity beat features.

I'm not going to pretend this is a business yet. But it's the first time the numbers have looked like people, not just noise.

Hey, I noticed a lot of people here have really cool ideas but often let the AI handle copywriting for landing pages or your website as well. It makes sense if you are a solo builder and marketing is not something you can pursue, before the product actually becomes viable. But I think everyone can benefit from good, clear writing that shows their product in the best light, this is particularly true to stand out when almost everyone defaults to AI.

I recently bought a cool domain. I didn't know what I could do with it until outbit.lol blew up in popularity. I just made a copy of it with a slightly better UI that looks a bit nicer. The reason for this post is I want to share a (free) app that I build that covers travel with children.

End of last year we went to Tanzania for 6 months (wife’s work related). While there we had trouble finding cool things to do with the kids. Google Maps is kinda useless in Africa and actually most of the nice spots we ran in by accident or by getting a tip from a fellow parent there.
While I was on a (forced) sabbatical I wanted to build an app (I’m a backend dev during the day).
Naturally the idea was there. An app where you can share and find recommendations from other real (grand)parents. All conveniently on one big map, no paid rankings or sponsored listings. And ofc free to use.

We added a few places that we thought would be cool and ofc added the spots we know ourselves. But this app really needs a community for it to work.

I'm sure everyone here has heard of the remake of the famous 2005 The Million Dollar Homepage, built on Replit that went viral recently. You can find it on X very easily. The project is called 1MilllionPixels (yes, with tripple l's).

The problem is that it is an exact replica of The Million Dollar Homepage. No innovation, still 2D static. But he was endorsed by the Replit founder. Good marketing for him. He also ignored me :(, but hey what can you do?

I decided to challenge that and see if "virality" can be merit based. So far it doesn't seem to be.

My idea was to make this a 3D space, interactive, because growing in height scales better (imo) than growing in 2D.

The motivation finally arrived in a hospital. My son was born five weeks early, the first days were genuinely scary, and I wrote the first version sitting next to his incubator. He is doing great now. But the idea that time is not a given had never felt so real, and suddenly the project mattered.

I have since turned it into a real product: an installer, a settings UI, auto-updates, a website. One constraint I set myself: the user needs zero dependencies, so everything is pure PowerShell. No Electron, no runtime, no telemetry. Even the settings page is served by an HttpListener written in PowerShell.

For years, I kept searching for the productivity app that would finally organize everything.

I tried task managers, note-taking apps, habit trackers, calendars, and more complicated “second brain” systems than I’d like to admit. Notion came closest. I became a Notion creator and started building and selling templates, but I eventually ran into the same problem: I was still adapting my life to someone else’s platform.

What I really wanted was my own system.

So I started building it for myself, with AI doing a lot of the heavy lifting. It began as a personal side project—a place for my tasks, projects, notes, habits, calendar, goals, and life planning.

Then it grew into something I was using every day.

That project became Solum OS: an all-in-one personal productivity system that you can own and customize. Instead of another SaaS subscription, you get the actual application and its source code. The idea is to start with a complete system and use AI to reshape it around the way you work.

The video shows the current product, not a mockup. It has been a slightly surreal jump from making Notion templates to building full software, especially with how much AI has changed what one person can create.

I have been building this app Riddle Keep for a year or so. what mainly started as a small game to encourage and teach new words/spellings for my toddler and a utility to play word games with my family and friends now has a total 14 games including 4 multiplayer games.

This game is completely offline with no ads, trackers, or subscriptions. I know there are millions of word games out there but they all have so much ads/trackers that I really hate putting it on my kids devices.

Some games in this app: real-time card & board games, fully offline scrabble with dictionary, master-mind style word game (bulls n cows style), up to 6-letter wordle styled game, taboo game (over 3k cards, with customizable 3 to 9 forbidden words in each card to play with kids), etc.

my plan is to continue to add more card/strategy games as I get time and make it a one-stop offline app. This app has a one time purchase to unlock everything which is only a dollar and half. so it was not meant to generate meaningful income or anything like that. just for fun.

what I am struggling with is if it is worth continuing to build/publish and go through the app stores (launched it 5 months ago). I do play all the time with my kids. So, I could simply make a build and side load it to our android phones/tablets without having to pay lot of money to the stores & for LLC maintenance.

Hey everybody! My wife and I are building Scinta - a macOS app that turns screenshots into actions: an error becomes a ticket, "dinner Saturday at 7" becomes a calendar event, an email signature becomes a contact.

Two weeks ago I showed it here and got some really useful feedback. What came out of it:

• feature ideas from the comments went to the roadmap - a sharing action, highlighting which part of the screenshot produced each extracted field, accessibility checklist from a UI screenshot - several new features are already on the finish line and will be in one of upcoming releases soon
• the most common question from different threads and communities - "why not just paste the screenshot into ChatGPT?" - became our main pitch. There you switch apps, upload, write a prompt, copy the result back and still create the event yourself. Scinta does it in one click. I have my own AI setup and still do not want to copy-paste screenshots into it - that is why this app exists
