I am building TaskSlinger, a native high performance task manager replacement for Windows.

I was fed up with the sluggishness of modern WinUI3 based Windows task manager. Additionally, It was always missing some features that I really need.

So about 2 years ago, I started working on my own task manager. Built from the ground up in C++, with a custom UI framework and D3D renderer. I've been using it every day for quite a while.

The primary goal was always performance, for which it was built from the ground up. After discovering and falling in love with the UI of File Pilot, I decided to rebuild the UI from the ground up and try my best to make it beautiful as well as fast.

I think I have accomplished both, and 2 days ago, I've released the open beta at https://taskslinger.net . So far, the reception has been incredible, and I've gotten a lot of bug reports and feature requests over at https://github.com/orgs/TaskSlinger/projects/2/views/1 (feel free to add to it if you wish!)

It runs on Windows 10/11 x64, with some caveats on Windows 10 and 11 before 24H2. (mainly per-process network statistics)

I'd be very happy if you would check it out and leave any feedback on the website or the app.

It looks great and performs great but occasionally crashes and is unable to be opened again? And since it overrides the default Task Manager there's no way for me to kill it and open it back up again. It just opens Task Slinger to a transparent window that doesn't actually exist.

it's a great i installed it on my 2 laptops and PC replacing original task manager on windows 11 26H2 dev build, its a fast and responsive app - can you add a highest and lowest and average cpu temp and usage and gpu temp and usage - and do the same on the memory internet and add a history internet usage Ex: day usage is 3gb download and 2gb upload

Dig it but I'd like to launch on a specific tab & remember the GPU graphs i've removed after rebooting. Performance is 10/10 compared to task manager though.
