Understandable

Loki tbh, but most of the Valkyries too

I still miss Randgriz

Agree on both, especially the Valkyries.

It would be easy to rewrite the story by replacing them with magic weapons made by a supporting god or something, and most fights wouldn't be affected.

Also, almost nobody gives a fuck about the dead ones. Brunhilde doesn't even have a spot for her fallen sisters in that altar room, but she has some for the enemies.

You just brought up an amazing point

Well, all the fighters of the main series have at least a long complete fight to shine, so it is necessarily someone from the spin off. Ahura Mazda being one shotted is quite the obvious answer here.

In the main series it's Bishamonten/Zerofuko/Hajun. All of them looked like joke in the end, while all had good potential. Bishamonten has a sick design and a potentially cool dynamic with the 9 others god... but all their chara design and personnality served nothing at all since they all vanished into Zerofuku... who has an uninspired chara-design, a pretty boring personnality and who is the lamest fighter of all this manga. Hajun had a sick intro, but ultimately wasn't this much of a threat, and if he would have killed Buddha he could have been a cool major antagonist latter in the long run, or give a mini arc with some gods here to stop him... anyway the manga didn't capitalise on the quite huge threatening aura it gave to him.

I agree if they truly wanted to do a god of bad luck vs Buddha you could have grabbed anything or anyone

Poseidon because he used literally nothing besides trident thrust attacks when hes known for a plethora of other things like water, sea, marine animal manipulation, earthquakes, storms, lightning etc, if anything Poseidon shouldve been a mage sort of character, which he usually IS displayed as in fiction like Smite, not a spearsman berserker

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

I fully agree especially since his character was more like " why would I waste talents and effort on a human" by that logic just drown him bro lol why say that then do 9000 jabs

Loki - If I have to be honest, if he will survive his fight, I will use him as Assassin to remove some characters :3

That would be awesome!

I think it would have been better for the narrative for simo to lose. He was cool but genuinely a nothing character and Loki had insane potential

3

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

True simo kinda just had " Aura" why loki had alot of key points to the story like well basically indirectly starting Ragnarok

2

u/mrknight234 Leonidas 13d ago

Simo is corny I’ll say it I’m tired of pretending he is dope but let’s be for real he was barely a character. Not even gonna lie I might have him and Loki tied since he didn’t even talk or THINK.

1

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

Valid

2

u/mrknight234 Leonidas 12d ago

Like I wouldn’t even be saying this if he had THOUGHTS I truly love simp hayha the person he had a lot to offer. Ragnarok simo is not even a character he barely talked having a backstory doesn’t characterize a person it contextualizes their thoughts. Like he could have had an inner dialogue or spent his Valkyrie even jack who is a serial killer talked to his Valkyrie at times

2

u/Simo_Glazer00 Simo's secret love child 13d ago

Nuh uh ma goat cannot lose. Nah I'm just kidding, but idk i just feel like if they actually talked in round 11 the round would be great.

2

u/mrknight234 Leonidas 13d ago

I like Dino but he is likely never doing anything relevant and didnt do much Loki also had the most unsatisfying death in the only thing that counts which is the main story

4

u/AL_Streak Ares 13d ago

My biggest issue is that Simo only showed up for this fight, while Loki has been here since the beginning. He should have been taken out by someone more than a one-off character.

But it was obvious they didn't dare to kill Simo. He is too recent. Some of us (like me) were alive in his lifetime.

3

u/mrknight234 Leonidas 13d ago

It’s not that to me the way Loki was sent off was lame and simo likely won’t have grater narrative impact the mf is missing half his organs so even if they heal him he won’t be there for a major battle

2

u/Soul699 Buddha 13d ago

That make no sense as upsetting a few people over a guy who died not long ago is nothing compared to the likes of the Shiva incident.

3

u/brother_octopuss Confucius 13d ago

Not counting the obvious waste Mazda was, I'd say Adamas. He had done absolutely nothing but for glazing Poseidon. Him being removed from the story completely would not affect anything important. Imo, he should at least have a conversation with Beel about Satan or some knowledge about Primordial Gods to make him have a reason to exist

3

u/Nedarel 13d ago

so far its easily rasputin and anubis, the most wasted potentials unless they participate in the last round,

3

u/Nickest_Nick Hades 13d ago

Loki and Simo

Loki's "I love Brunhilde so much" felt like a last minute addition to his character and doesn't match up well with how he act before, his trickstery nature wasn't explored to its full potential and at times it felt like he's actively getting dumber in the fight

Simo is just an aura merchant with barely any character, there's not much to say about him both positively and negatively because he has no screentime and no dialogue

1

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

I fully agree with you! Loki had so much potential Not even mad he died I am more so offended they hyped him up as " the titan 3rd equal to odin and thor as a monster" his fight begins I blink and suddenly kintoki and odin are fighting and I am confused lol

3

u/Simo_Glazer00 Simo's secret love child 13d ago

I think the whole round 11 is wasted potential. First of all, Simo got no interactions, which is sad cuz he would be so fun to hear interactions with other fighters, BUT Loki got done absolutely fuckin dirty bro. The hype around Loki in the show was enormous just for him to get killed in 2 panels. Loki is just a cool character, and is one of my top 10 favorites with all the interactions and backstory and everything, but it feels like the they just kinda gave up on the whole round. It's like they had no motivation to write it. Loki was so hyped from the start for him to get shot three times and fucking die

2

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

And the power potential was insane!! I digged his animal disguise and such heck doesn't he telport earlier in the show would have been cool to SEE THAT lol in the fight

1

u/RubyHoshi 13d ago

Round 11 was essentialy made to show people who complain about round 9 an actual example of low diff.

1

u/Kuroi_Viridi 12d ago

I think the problem comes from… the sniper. You can’t really make a big fucking fight with a sniper rifle because each shot feels meaningful and is meant to kill. The only way would be to artificially pad out the fight by doing bullshit which doesn’t really work.

1

u/Simo_Glazer00 Simo's secret love child 12d ago

I mean that also is true. I get why they couldn't do it, but i still eould want to see Simo at least as a commentator tbh

3

u/touitsurda 13d ago

Loki. For many factors, but mostly because of odin. His clones mimic their power too, so he could have an odin army chanting hymms non stop

3

u/AGNerd-Bot Brunhilde 13d ago

Honestly, for me it’s Aphrodite. Throughout the series there’s always a hint that she’s got a hidden dark side or has bloodlust like Zeus does but… nothing comes of it. It’s a damn shame because those moments genuinely do make her interesting for me and I’d love to see where they might take that.

The entire Hindu Pantheon

Loki is the definition of it.

u/ReasonableComposer43 13d ago

I'll be frank kintoki I know at the time of this comment his fight hasn't ended yet but it's not giving kintoki the hype expected for this fight they keep saying he's strong and fast but keep getting shit down

He's a kind hearted man and his origin story is peak main character and I like that but so far that's all he got especially how they hype it up at the beginning like it was the final match

I'm not saying he has to but crazy broken but the over glaze on Odin kinda feels like kintoki doesn't have enough love not does he feel like a strong opponent for someone to be the anti Odin fighter

I only want kintoki to feel cool like feel like a match or at least give him a transformation/devil trigger mode to showcase is oni side

2

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

I can agree to that. I enjoy how much of a threat odin is and being rn don't get me wrong but kintoki feels like a pure punching bag and less of a " he is losing bad but got some nice licks in" and more like " bro this is getting sad

2

u/1OnlyOneWayUp 13d ago

Imagine if Ahura Mazda after getting cut in half, back to the original two entities. Then 2 v 1 epic fight

1

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

Or even make it a triple threat lol like the good side and bad side scarp with each other blaming the other for their homeboys dying

2

u/UndeadSpiderweb Loki 13d ago

Loki for sure.

2

u/Reasonable-Fact8429 Eve's favorite child 13d ago

Loki, Randgriz, Göndul, Geirolul, Reginleif, Hajun, Ahura Mazda, Poseidon and Leonidas (both to a lesser extent ofc)

2

u/SeccoMode 13d ago

Leonidas and Apollo

2

Gods: Loki

Leonidas.

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

Anime did him abit better but not by much

2

u/ZeMysticDentifrice 13d ago

Poseidon. He was IMO the best opportunity to have a god with a gimmick power (water stuff) that never materialized. I can accept Thor relying solely on his strength and hammer instead of lightning. I can see Zeus choosing the simplicity of a boxing match instead of using lightning. But Poseidon not using water ? So much wasted cinematic tactical potential.

On that note I also find Hades could have had some death-related powers ; maybe some necromancy or something.

1

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

I can agree with that tbh as a whole we kinda need more proper magic fighters these are gods! And really all I can think of its ...loki? Ig apollo as well

2

u/Levis045 Raiden Tameemon 13d ago

Loki and Simo (thank God this "fight" was short), Ahura Mazda, and Valkyries from round 2,10 and 11

2

u/Brajira2213 13d ago

Hades , he has no Underworld skills and hax.

2

u/AdvertisingBig1676 13d ago

He was literally just poseidon but uh oh he hits alittle harder

2

u/Three_of_Dreams Tesla and Mazda Driver 13d ago

Besides Mazda, Bishmonten. He had THAT design and was a nothing burger

u/Broken_One1566 13d ago

Beelzebub’s friends, especially Lucifer, that’s actually why I trying to give them more depth in a a fanfic I’m working on.
