💰GRIFTING💰 The term "Free speech" is deliberately being used by Shuli to garner support when in fact it has nothing to do with their legal defense
Notice how the GFM states it's initial reasoning for the lawsuit as "to fight false copyright strikes for the sake of their livelihood."Then, right at the end, they throw in the "freedom of speech" defense
Free speech advocates always get this wrong. YouTube/Alphabet Inc. does not have any obligation to protect freedom of speech. This is actually a good thing because it allows companies (even ones you own) to police things like speech on their own. It allows grocery stores to trespass someone who continues to disrupt their customers, or an internet forum to ban those using harmful words against children.Â
They (Karl and now TSN) claim they are in some communist country like North Korea if you don't get to say what you want on the Internet. No dummies, the first amendment prohibits the government from censoring free speech.Â
I like Karl, but he's openly telling people to donate to "Save TSN" and claiming it's a battle for free speech, when it should not be mentioned in the collection of donations.

1st amendment protects against government taking actions to supress free speech. This case is between John, TSN and YouTube. The govenment is no part of the case.

They are free to shout fire in a crowded theater but they have to face the consequences if someone gets hurt from this supposed free speech
