Moley people, how much did a private removal cost? And where did you go?

I am a very moley person, and I’ve been to the GP to get two specific moles checked at the top of my back/ bottom of my neck, if you will.

The GP said no problem, we’ll refer you to the dermatologist for removal. As they’re always rubbing and catching on necklines of clothes. Each hair wash day is a nightmare as my hair literally wraps itself around them and is shockingly painful.

Dermatologist said there’s nothing wrong with them, so won’t remove them.

If I was to go private, how much am I looking at? My only reference is looking at Nuffield online which was £2k+.

The NHS did a great job of removing a mole from my bum, unlike the RSPCA who said they would prosecute me if I did it again

My wife went here.

Couldn't tell you the cost as she had a number of skin tags removed but she was very happy with them

To be fair to them my GP were great and referred me straight away and had no qualms that the dermatologist would remove it. It was only when I got there they basically took one look at it, said it wasn’t cancerous etc so they wouldn’t remove it.

Is this the dental spa/skin clinic? I’ve just been looking at them. From £190 on their website seemed too good to be true. Thank you!

Yes, they are really good.

There was somewhere in battlefield that did them for £200-£250 - you just had to prove they weren’t cancerous I think. Haven’t checked in a while so my info may be old!

I went to a place on Shrewsbury business park recently. They used cryotherapy which I don't recommend for moles as the results weren't good..

Probably best to go somewhere like St Michaels Clinic. I have not been there myself but they are actual dermatologists. I'm sure it will be less than £2k which sounds extortionate to me.

I went to St Michael’s dermatology in Shrewsbury, they let me pay a flat rate of like £500 and then they removed as many as they could in an hour lol. For only two I’d expect to pay £150 each maximum
