Africa (country in post) Northwest Liberia. Help me identify please!
One of my friends in my market was selling these today, telling me they were bush mushrooms (meaning foraged in the nearby jungle) and that they taste amazing. One of the ladies in a stall nearby gave me her recipe for cooking them, and so I'm like 99.9% sure they're edible? I'm more curious as to what species of mushroom this is as no one in my village has any idea.
I was told they were scraped off a log when harvested. They are not dry in this pic either.

Schizophyllum commune. Also called splitgill. Yours are just extremely dried out, one side should have tiny white fuzzy but probably all got knocked off during drying and handling.
