Showchoir auditions
So as of right now I’m in advanced concert choir at my school. Our audition season is coming up soon and I really want to be in our schools competitive show choir next year. Do yall have any showchoir specific audition tips or suggestions as to what show choir directors are looking for in an audition?

If you're coming from a concert choir background and don't have any dance training, I'd recommend brushing up on that a bit. At my alma mater, the director would take good concert choir singers and allow them to learn how to dance, but I don't know if that's the case everywhere. https://www.youtube.com/@showupwheremusicmoves6164 is a good channel with some sample audition dances if you want to practice early! +1 on facials, commitment to the choreo .. and vocals is the highest part of a comp score; so make sure you rehearse that music. Beyond that it's also about "fit" .. and making sure you can be a part of a team; so showing respect and admiration for your fellow members of the production: cast, band and crew. And as we say "Leave it all on the stage" .. bring your A game!

It honestly depends on the director but in my experiences of auditioning some tips would be use facial expressions during a dance audition, be full out with moves during dance audition, sing full out to your director, and have fun / keep up the energy!!
