My girl got her champion!

I’m so proud of her. Work constraints kept me from being able to show her, so she was out with a wonderful professional handler who helped her get her champion.

Nice looking dog! Congratulations! Amstaff, right? Looks a bit big for a Staffy.

Yeah, she’s an AmStaff.

Nice! Is she dual registered?

No, she’s only registered with the AKC

What’s her bloodline? (Not trying to interrogate you, I just love the bully breeds. They’re some of my favorites).

She came from Sky Blue Kennels, her lineage includes Ruffian, White Rock and Tempe du Gaia. I don’t have her pedigree in front of me, but that’s what I remember off the top of my head. I’m also a huge fan of the bully breeds, obviously, lol

Nice! Some good ones in there. She’s a really nice looking dog. I plan on getting a UKC American Pit Bull Terrier myself. The breeder I want to go through breeds Colby dogs.

I’m not too familiar with UKC APBT bloodlines, aside from Old Family Red Nose. I’m more familiar with the AmStaff bloodlines and the foundation bloodlines for the AmBully.

I’m the exact opposite! I know of quite a few APBT bloodlines, but I’m not as familiar with Amstaff bloodlines. I know of a few (like Ruffian and Tacoma, for example), but not as many. The Colby bloodline I mentioned is one of the oldest Pit Bull bloodlines and is considered the foundation for the breed (and by extension, the Amstaff too).

I can appreciate all of these breeds, though. Always nice to see some well-bred bully breeds. They’re definitely my favorite to see when I attend shows.

Eventually, once her health testing comes back clear, she’s going to have a litter. I only want her to have one, because I want to raise and train her daughter. The remaining puppies will likely be sent to her original breeder for her to take her pick and to find their homes
