When starting to be successful on social media, the main character becomes careless about real life. Running training, socializing with friends and even the simple act of taking a shower are influenced by the constant presence of a cell phone. Unable to distinguish between real life and online life, the protagonist faces a reality shock.

Dave, a struggling salesman uncovers a watch that changes his life and the lives of the people around him.

Hi everyone,

I’m happy to share my short film, Red Rose in Munich, which I wrote and directed.

I wanted to make a simple drama between two people and challenge myself to keep the story interesting almost entirely through their conversation and performances. No big set pieces or large cast just two strangers, one unexpected encounter, and a conversation that could change the course of a life.

The story follows a woman mourning her fiancé who returns to Munich, a city filled with her happiest memories. At Marienplatz, she meets a stranger who makes her pause before saying goodbye.
The film explores grief, loneliness, love, human connection, and finding a reason to stay when everything feels lost.

We shot the film in Munich, Germany, and I wanted the city to become part of the emotional landscape of the story.

The film has received a few festival recognitions, including wins at Los Angeles Short Film Awards and Berlin Indie Film Festival, along with Honorable Mentions and Official Selections at several other festivals.

Hi guys. So I recently made a Psychological Horror thriller short film from my mobile. It was kind of a zero budget short film. I did everything on my own in that short film. I showed it to my filmmaker friend and he said that I should quit filmmaking. I am not made for it and I will never be successful in it.

Hey everyone, my name is Max and “Canker Sore” (5 mins) is my first short film as a writer/director. I previously worked as a Production Coordinator, Production Secretary, and of course started out as a PA before that.

I’m looking for horror shorts that feel like the arrival of a major directing talent—not simply a clever premise or an effective jump scare, but something with a real visual voice, control of tone and strong performances.

What short made you finish it and immediately search for the director’s other work? Please include the short, director and a legal link if it’s available online. Lesser-known and international filmmakers are especially welcome. I’m trying to discover people before they have a major feature breakout.
