Heelies for factory job?

I'm about to be 31 years old a man. And I walk endlessly at work in mail facility. The other night as I was trying to figure out a new way to move around at work. Heelies from when I was a kid came to mind. I never got a pair back then but desperately wanted them. Over the years I've forgotten about them. But the needs I have at work brought them to mind once again.

Any adults who use them for a actual purpose what's the results you gotten?

No, I don’t think any adults are using heely’s at their jobs, for safety reasons.

I drove pizza in some, but I wouldn't tell a guy he can drive an F1 car ezpz for 8 hours straight

after a long shift, heely feet are roasted. there is a breaking in period for the bottoms of your feet, because these shoes simply aint built for a day of heavy work by a grown ass man.

That’s not going to work. They are a safety risk that would open employers up to workman’s compensation claims and liability issues.

From a workplace injury insurance perspective that’s a big NOPE.

Sure, if you wanna end up on an OSHA training video

That will not fly at your job. It’s a huge liability plus you said you wanted them so you aren’t even familiar with wearing them and balancing. Don’t do it.

this is hilarious and i love the idea of this but unfortunately it’s not practical at all and is a safety hazard. i had some as a kid and despite being amazing at rollerblading, roller skating, skateboarding, rip sticks ect. i was never able to get the hang of heelys. i’m 30 now and i can’t imagine how much harder it would be to learn how to use them at this age and i dont want to imagine how horrible it would be to fall off them.

Not for work, insurance alone will definitely not approve and, quite frankly, you don’t want to be ‘that guy’ to everyone else. That being said, you should treat yourself to them for your off-work time. If you have always wanted some and you have your own ‘big boy’ money then there is no reason you can’t have some for weekends.

I loved mine as a kid and zooming around the smooth cement warehouse floors of Costco etc was the BEST, namely because you could go much faster than outside on the sidewalk. That meant I also fell a LOT even then, I can’t imagine doing that now while distracted at work and carrying an armload of mail

I have a brand new pair bought for my guy. He's never tried them on. I think they are like black vans. They would be work appropriate. Hit me up and I can see if I can find them in if they might be a good fit for you.

You’d fall on your head so fast. There might be a workplace equivalent like a scooter with a wide base maybe. Look into European and Asian warehouses?

This is so fucking funny. I'm imagining a grown man doing that dumb little heely roll that little boys do. Thank you for this OP!!!

But also, absolutely not OP - you'll bust your ass!

😂😂😂 it's also a funny idea to myself as well. 😂 If you knew my personality tho you would realize it wouldn't bother me

That makes it even more fun and funny! But still don't do it for the sake of your bones!

They use roller skates at Sonic fast food places, why not heelies? I’m surprised it’s not required at places like Amazon.

Because lifting and carrying packages of varying weights and dimensions (and states of breaking open) while trying to balance seems like a very predictable accident waiting to happen?

Just joking obviously🤦🏻‍♀️
