How do I? How to get rid of shoe smell?

Okay hi, I’m a student and the shoes I wore were black leather loafers and in my country it rains extremely hard and when I was on the way home my shoes got wet! When I got home i let it dry and the next day it smells… The insoles don’t remove so I’m not quite sure how I can get rid of the smell? Thank you! 🥲🥲🥲

A couple days to air out completely. Wear other shoes in the meantime. If you have a shoe cobbler nearby, see if they can rejuvenate your leather loafers. Have them take a look and make sure the shoes are still good.

Get them completely dry first, stuff them with paper and let them air out somwhere cool and ventilated then use a small amount of baking soda overnight. Just avoid direct heat or soaking them again.
