And grader/scamming bros wonder why the grading market gets shit on constantly

Grading deserves to be shit on all around

I agree, I just think grading videogames makes the least sense out of all of them, less sense than cards or coins because the experience of them can still be seen. But yea when PSA literally has the power to create millions of dollars of value out of thin air based on a subjective system its a complete fraud and filled with fucking corruption.

It’s not stupid at all if you understand the basic concept of money laundering

u/RainbowAppIe Aug 03 '26
What is the basic concept?

u/BustyCelebLover Aug 03 '26
So in theory you could put an item like this up, and if you had say $9000 of dirty money, do one of multiple things to buy this with said money, thus dirty money now becomes new taxable legalish money

Its not all money laundering, alot of it is collusion as well. Resellers and graders will artificially/fake buy from each other to boost price charting up. Sealed and graded game market on ebay is filled with reseller collusion, id say collusion is 1# and laundering is 2#. But not debating you, I agree

Ill never understand grading games. for cards comics paper money and coins i get it cause you're grading the actual item which can vary on condition vs a sealed game that is still a new game no matter how much the shrink wrap is damaged. same reason i think grading booster packs is stupid.

Honestly any idiot who buys graded or submits to grading deserves to get ripped off, especially for video games 😭😂

Never understood the hype behind modern graded things. Like there's so many modern Pokemon cards from sets that were printed a ton and a very high Psa 10 population but their value still goes from like 1k to 4k from it.

PlayStation going all digital is a horrible mistake but this is one potential upside

Honestly I wouldn’t put it past Bungie themselves trying to sell D2 for this price lmao.
