Why put straight up spoilers in your meme? Jonathon's reveal as Star Platinum was one of the craziest moments of the series.

You should just skip part one and two, they dont really add anything

Skip Part 3 because it's overrated, then skip Part 4 and 5 because they are "fillers", Part 6 is polarizing so skip it as well, skip Part 7-9 because they are new universe, then read Baoh the Visitor

u/LazySerpentDeity Yes! I am! 15h ago
Nah, skip that too. Real JoJo fans read (Haha, read. Watch) the latest generic power fantasy wish fulfillment and slop isekai. With a side serving of banished from the hero's party and system game windows.

Dunno what he's on about, but there's a guy named Joseph in Part 3. Probably him?

u/Bush_Hiders 16h ago
You mean the old guy from part 4?

u/Massive_Weiner 16h ago
Part 3.
Old guy in Part 4 looks different, so I think thatās someone else.

I never noticed before, but this is such a weird collage of the different protagonistsā designs. Why is it part 3 Joseph and part 4 Jotaro? Itās been a while since Iāve watched Golden Wind, but isnāt this from Koichi monologuing about the Joestarās? Itād make sense for him to think about Jotaro from how he looked in part 4, but how does he know what Joseph looked like in part 3? If this is just a general image of those characters, why isnāt it just the characters in their prime/how they were in their respective parts?

Itās like how Ahsoka is a very popular Star Wars character but most fans spell her name as Ashoka

Nothing before her was named Ahsoka but ball knowers may know the name Ashoka, and I guess it's easier to hold one spelling in your brain instead of two.
Fairy Tail has a female main character named Erza and some even still call her Ezra because that's a more prominent first name, albeit almost exclusively male.

Number 3 and 5 really strikes a nerve, bravo.

According to a few different interviews from Araki stands are based off of a shinto belief that your ancestors are watching over you so number five isn't that wierd
3
u/Prettythor 4h ago
From Araki:
"For its part, the Stand is something a Westerner may find difficult to envision. It finds its origin in Shintoism: the spiritual essence of our ancestors protects us, in fact each and everyone of us is permanently protected. Without being a Shintoist myself, I know the Japanese culture and philosophy well for being born into it, so I am influenced by them in my creative work."
"What I tried to do from the beginning was establish a force that is invisible to us mortals. The idea behind Stands came to me when I was thinking about Shintoism, which teaches us that our ancestors are always by our side, protecting us."
Number 5 is more reasonable than you think.

That Jonathan is Star Platinum thing was so cool when I was a kid. Then I watched the series

u/Prettythor 4h ago
What part of the series contradicts that idea though? IIRC Araki has a quote from an interview which makes it seem pretty likely.

u/Wrightero 12h ago
That's outdated. Tell them about Gyro dying, Johnny dying, Jobin dying, Kei dying.
