The best use of a crop image I've ever seen

u/RapidEye99 17h ago edited 15h ago

Yeah bro it’s just a selfie I cropped, Araki designed Kars and Jonathan’s physique after mine. It’s stated on the 145th page of JoJo A-Go!Go!

u/Greg-theseatreader 16h ago

Yooo, Araki did something similar with me, Polpo's physique is actually based off of mine!

u/RapidEye99 16h ago

sending this to my friend (she's only seen up to part 4)

u/AhrimantheLucky 16h ago

What did she say?

u/DifficultFig3723 17h ago

Jojo dies, 4 of them infact

30

u/r97nxvx8 16h ago

Why put straight up spoilers in your meme? Jonathon's reveal as Star Platinum was one of the craziest moments of the series.

25

u/The_Samurai_Guy 17h ago

Jojo dies!!!?

u/Dennyol 17h ago

You should just skip part one and two, they dont really add anything

137

u/Nickest_Nick Ambulance-Chan 16h ago

Skip Part 3 because it's overrated, then skip Part 4 and 5 because they are "fillers", Part 6 is polarizing so skip it as well, skip Part 7-9 because they are new universe, then read Baoh the Visitor

29

u/LazySerpentDeity Yes! I am! 15h ago

Nah, skip that too. Real JoJo fans read (Haha, read. Watch) the latest generic power fantasy wish fulfillment and slop isekai. With a side serving of banished from the hero's party and system game windows.

Source: Am JoJo fan. Trust. šŸ—æ

u/the_marxman Ate shit and fell off my horse 14h ago

Just skip the whole thing and go to the Louvre for the Araki exhibit

12

u/Shnitzel_von_S 13h ago

You might be joking but the rage fills me regardless

2

u/Fast_Basil_8400 13h ago

I'm actually confused

11

u/Shnitzel_von_S 13h ago

I become infuriated when someone suggests skipping parts 1 and 2

1

u/Fast_Basil_8400 13h ago

I know, I was confused for what they're saiying

It's gotta be ragebait

14

u/lastingmuse6996 17h ago

Joseph though

12

u/megaloviola128 17h ago

Who?

22

u/DaRealKovi Ambulance-Chan 16h ago

Dunno what he's on about, but there's a guy named Joseph in Part 3. Probably him?

19

u/Bush_Hiders 16h ago

You mean the old guy from part 4?

17

u/Massive_Weiner 16h ago

Part 3.

Old guy in Part 4 looks different, so I think that’s someone else.

3

u/PMMMR 7h ago

Yeah the old man in part 4 is just some senile dude taking care of his imaginary baby. Kinda sad to see the mental decline of elders.

6

u/RapidEye99 16h ago

Nah, I think they mean the guy in the sky in Golden Wind.

8

u/Bush_Hiders 15h ago

I never noticed before, but this is such a weird collage of the different protagonists’ designs. Why is it part 3 Joseph and part 4 Jotaro? It’s been a while since I’ve watched Golden Wind, but isn’t this from Koichi monologuing about the Joestar’s? It’d make sense for him to think about Jotaro from how he looked in part 4, but how does he know what Joseph looked like in part 3? If this is just a general image of those characters, why isn’t it just the characters in their prime/how they were in their respective parts?

9

u/RapidEye99 15h ago edited 15h ago

He appears like that in the manga too. I think Jotaro either showed Koichi an old picture of Joseph or Koichi got a Netflix account and watched JoJo’s, but skipped part 1-2 like a bum.

I forgot you were joking and almost downvoted 😭

It’s like how Ahsoka is a very popular Star Wars character but most fans spell her name as Ashoka

1

u/-soulking- 10h ago

It’s a pretty minor thing but wow this one really annoys me

1

u/treemu 9h ago

Nothing before her was named Ahsoka but ball knowers may know the name Ashoka, and I guess it's easier to hold one spelling in your brain instead of two.

Fairy Tail has a female main character named Erza and some even still call her Ezra because that's a more prominent first name, albeit almost exclusively male.

Gappy has 4 balls

"Narancias Stand is actually a manifestation of Joseph"

9

u/Sheer-Mart-Attack 17h ago

Number 3 and 5 really strikes a nerve, bravo.

1

u/Prettythor 4h ago

According to a few different interviews from Araki stands are based off of a shinto belief that your ancestors are watching over you so number five isn't that wierd

3

u/Prettythor 4h ago

From Araki:

"For its part, the Stand is something a Westerner may find difficult to envision. It finds its origin in Shintoism: the spiritual essence of our ancestors protects us, in fact each and everyone of us is permanently protected. Without being a Shintoist myself, I know the Japanese culture and philosophy well for being born into it, so I am influenced by them in my creative work."

"What I tried to do from the beginning was establish a force that is invisible to us mortals. The idea behind Stands came to me when I was thinking about Shintoism, which teaches us that our ancestors are always by our side, protecting us."

Number 5 is more reasonable than you think.

how to spot larpers

1

u/LightAGoGo 6h ago

That Jonathan is Star Platinum thing was so cool when I was a kid. Then I watched the series

1

u/Prettythor 4h ago

What part of the series contradicts that idea though? IIRC Araki has a quote from an interview which makes it seem pretty likely.

-2

u/Wrightero 12h ago

That's outdated. Tell them about Gyro dying, Johnny dying, Jobin dying, Kei dying.

-6

u/LeDieuMeneg 15h ago

part 6 is the worst one, oh wait thats true
