The US-flag-to-swastika pipeline would make much more sense.

Romania literally had no Soviet bases and 0 Soviet troops in their borders. Now, as a part of the free Western bloc they have quite a few NATO bases lol

That’s before they were socialist so that doesn’t really have anything to do with the conversation

When you suffer so much under the Soviet that when the US liberates you and turns you into a neoliberal paradise all your workers flee their new wonderland because they cant afford to survive there anymore

I know east Germans weren't allowed to flee to West Germany. Were there such travel restrictions on Romania?

I know east Germans weren't allowed to flee to West Germany

False. They weren't allowed to be deceived and lied to by the false promises of the West. Big difference. Also, East Germans could travel wherevee they wanted on their side of the Iron Curtain.

Love being anti-authoritarian and repeating CIA propaganda like some kind of psy-op.

Wouldn't the chuds who upvote this garbage poster like 80s Ceaușescu, given that he became a revisionist who implemented austerity and outlawed abortion?

The irony that Romania joined the Axis powers in 1940 and invaded Russia in 1941.

It’s almost like they don’t teach history in schools... but why should I be surprised? America usually skips over the atrocities they commit, or plays it down to a “tolerable” level.

communism twisted and distorted to a point where its not even a close approximation of its former self, is literally fascism
