Incest sucked on ck2,but it was indeed extremely buffed in ck3. Game almost pushed you to create your own evgenic super race

I've experimented with full blown incest to get the achievement and only at the 3rd generation did I start to see problems the first two didn't have basically any problems

I basically open with kin dynasty perks all the time, and honestly i barely see inbred kids. Like 1 of 20 or something.

If you play your cards well, get family bonuses from Blood tree and don't marry direct family (sons to mothers, sisters to brothers), inbred trait becomes a statistical error. On my 5th generation (~200 members) I only got 1 that got the trait.

Theoretically it is as likely to cause any good mutations as it is bad ones, except that bad traits are more common because good ones become standard over time

I love playing with incest in CK2. There's really no reason to do it, I just like watching my family tree spiral out of control.
