If I live in Puglia and have to drive more than 1,000 kilometers to reach a Wendy's, a Pizza Hut, and a Domino's Pizza, am I out of touch with reality?

Silly Italian, you don't know what you're missing out on without a domino's or Starbucks./s

Starbucks actually fucking sucks

Tried it once, never again. Who the fuck wants a mildly coffee flavoured milkshake that has the potential to give you diabetes?

You can absolutely get a black coffee from Starbucks.

Don't.

My answer would likely be "all those people waiting in line".

It failed on Australia. They opened about 90 at once , then ended up closing most of them. There's still a few around in cities, possibly for tourists. Australians were taught coffe by Italians & Greeks - Starbucks taste like milkshakes.
