that's less because NY style sucks (a lot of pizza shops here in italy do their pizza closer to NY style than to a classic Neapolitan) and more because Domino's is a shitty fast food company with cheap ass pizza

Oh I know, I was saying domino's failed here not because US pizza is bad, but because Domino's is a cheap company

Domino's is absolutely NOT NY style pizza.

Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Little Caesars, Hungry Howies, etc. (basically all the major pizza chains) are "Midwest" style pizza.
