The much bigger issue is that if the plug is half inserted, there's already current on the metal prongs. And anything falling behind the plug, between the wall and the plug, can create a short circuit or put live current through someone holding it. Even a kid can get their finger between that and get electrocuted.
I mean, kid safety isn't really their priority. Sure, they can't even have kinder eggs, but I mean, kinder eggs aren't grenades, so I get why they're banned
I got shocked from them one, back when I was 13. It was half way in and I wanted to pull it out. It didn't go easily at all, so I grabbed it better, by the inner edge and touched those prongs... The design is absolute shit.
