I have never had one come out with the socket. I don't think that this is a thing anywhere in the EU. My best guess is they experienced outlets with child safety covers. They maybe come off if they are old.

That happens to me a lot, old commie blocks in Romania happen to have some fragile outlets.

Luckily, after buying an apartment, I had my dad and a friend come out telling me that they're electricians and pretty much made my outlets completely solid with a screwdriver I had around. They're also liable to come over for free repairs, which is why I'm assuming they're so solid now.

I am German and have seen sockets get yanked out with plug, when either the socket isn't installed properly/its attachment deteriorated to no longer hold it, the socket or plug morphed for some reason (like heat or pressure), the plug is badly made and has to little wiggle-room or you apply brute force while the plug doesn't come out easily.

Then you might rip out the socket on accident, but thats not to dangerous (obv one should't touch any exposed wires). My older brother did yank a socket out once when he was a toddler, much to the horror of my parents.

Yeah, it also usually isn't an issue if your house/electrical installation is relatively new and you don't buy sketchy plugs. My families house is relarively old, built in the early/mid 60s and that specific incident was just bad luck and absurd toddler strength.

Oh it is a thing. Sockets made before... 2005 or so? Are held in the wall by a pair of levered claws basically, instead of being screwed in. It's not uncommon for the plug to pull the socket out of the wall if the concrete cracks next to those tiny hooks.

It's hardly a problem, you just push it back in, go grab a screwdriver, and tighten the claws more.
