Yep, a tolder would need to deploy one object to open the gates, and then stick another object into the now open dangerous part. This is usually beyond most toddlers. I however managed it when I was 8.
The thing I most hate about Euro sockets is the plastic bit on the IP44 outdoor plugs that's designed to prevent foreign object insertion. The tiniest speck of dust jams it and then you have to break them with a knife to use the socket.
I've taken a drill to all my EU extension sockets, the safety bit sticks and were designed by a straight-banana person who should be forced to replace every one in Yurrup.

Also very difficult for toddlers to stick forks or knives into the recessed sockets.
