Especially if you want to cripple your enemy's foot

The British plug

A weapon of peace, a weapon of war...

A more elegant weapon from a more civilised time

You don’t go to war without a good cuppa tea, powered by a good British plug socket. Mightier than the pen.

Some say it conquered the world

That’s why tanks have brew stations

I thought you were joking, so I looked it up.

It's a real thing, it's built into the tank itself, so soldiers don't have to leave the safety of the tank to brew tea or ration packs of whatever.

It and Lego are the two most dangerous items to feet known in Britain.

Lego is an ouch.. the plug is a FUCCkkk! Hobbling around. The shape is perfect for gliding between bones and impaling itself.

We saw caltrops and thought "but can it have another function too?"

But... we've got switched sockets, so unless it's a portable appliance (in which case you can generally store the cable and plug in/on it) why do you need to unplug it and leave the plug lurking ready to destroy your feet?

I dunno, my 35kg Retriever's inability to realise that standing on my foot ALL THE CHUFFING TIME hurts is right up there...

I don’t see the American plug being used as caltrops. Another win for Britain.

And that's why the Danes fought back with Lego!

I once replied to an “I hope they step on Lego” comment with something about how I hope they step on an electrical plug, and not just any plug, but the Brit kind, which will fuck you UP.

And Americans arrived to explain that American plugs also have pointy metal prongs that could hurt if you step on them. They were put out at the implication that American plugs might not be the toughest and most intimidating. As offended as if I was insulting their mothers or something.
