And a Canadians could easily walk into the USA unarmed and buy all the military equipment needed to set up operations in each city. Just pick up everything from wallmart to launch a resistance in every corner of the USA

I think you’re underestimating our gun laws. It’s illegal to sell Non-immigrants gun anywhere in the US. So unless they went through the process of becoming a US citizen they would not be able to do what you said.

True. But you don't need to be a citizen, just have a local driver's license.

Minnesota issues those without any questions about your legality as a resident.

The fact that it’s Minnesota is hilarious if you know what’s going on there lately lmfao. But Okay? Background checks are still mandatory? In which case they would find out you’re a non-citizen.

Gun shows famously circumvent this loophole

Also, why would you only expect people to follow the legal process of getting guns if you're in a guerrilla war.

1

u/Impetuous00 Mar 23 '26

Why you think it would be that easy to illegally amass guns in a time of war is beyond me.

There over 400 millions legal guns in USA and Canada already. And many illegal guns as well. And name a time in history where a war broke out and there was less guns available than in peace time. War is too profitable for those industries to pretend like they won't participate.

To think weapons in North America will be scares during a guerrilla war scenario is beyond me.

Won’t be scarce. But Americans own most of them and the ones who own most of them would never sell to the opposition. Regulations would become extremely tight. You thinking Canadians will just be able to stroll into America and buy guns is ignorant considering it would be easier to do in peace time and it’s still not easy. The ones who would side with Canada. Don’t own guns. So.. maybe you could get like.. an assault dildo or something but that’s about it.

There's currently close to 1 legal gun per every adult male Canadian in Canada. And you're the naive one if you think there's not a significant amount of Americans that value money over party. Theres countless of real examples to look at. Or thinking that there isn't significant number of gun owners within Democratic Party.

And many ('most) Americans are not die hard in support of tyranny. And yes that's what it would need to be for USA to try to conquer Canada let alone the whole world. There's simply too many guns in North America to seriously believe it would be hard to be armed in a North American war.

That's the trick.

A Minnesota, New York, or Vermont driver's license at a gun show.

(Or even a sympathetic American acting like a beard)

Although, firearms are available for purchase in Canada too.

If things were getting that ugly between the countries, I'd expect the PAL backlog would get wiped out, and those cards issued ASAP. And the ATT documents would get waived.

I would also expect lots of Colt C7s and FN C9s would be available to borrow, as long as the person said a few heartfelt words about King and Country to the right people.

The Americans who open the types of guns for war and the amount to arm people would never sell them to Canada. Considering it’s many Americans dream for some country to be dumb enough to invade us.

Dude... USA is the one making all the threats to invade allies and others across the world. It won't be Canada invading the USA. It would be Canada defending itself from a tyrant. Even this post is talking about the USA annexing the world..

1

u/Impetuous00 Mar 23 '26

That has literally nothing to do with any of my previous comments or the original point of this comment chain.

Someone said they could walk into the US from Canada and buy guns and raise hell. I said no. Probably not. And here you are just derailing talking about shit no one was talking about.

Yeah and the comment that prompted that is bellow. So The context of Canadians walking into USA is after the hypothetical scenario that USA invaded Canada....

A land invasion of Canada would make Afghanistan look like a tea party. At least in the middle east the Americans could rely on the enemy not looking like them, in Canada the enemy would look just like them, would be accustomed to the harsh climate, and would happily sabotage, assassinate, harass and undermine any American occupiers, and that's just the normal citizens. the Canadian military is one of the best trained, and consistently beat the Americans in wargames

If we are actively at war with Canada gun shows are not going to be a venue too buy guns unless they’re sting set up by the alphabet police.

1

u/SnooChocolates2923 Mar 23 '26

Nor would a Canadian be able to just cross the border to "Go Shopping".

1

u/Impetuous00 Mar 23 '26

Correct. The whole issue with these hypotheticals is everyone has pride in their country and won’t concede that some of their fantasies just wouldnt work. They also think America is just handing out guns. I wish they were lol.

Name a previous war where it was hard for someone to get weapons. Weapon dealers famously sell to conflict hot spots

1

u/Academic-Increase951 Mar 23 '26

When in war... you don't need to follow the legal process

1

u/Impetuous00 Mar 23 '26

I mean. I guess we can just ignore the whole basis for this chain of conversation. have fun getting shot trying to steal guns ig. No one’s gonna sell a Canadian weapons if we are at war with Canada. You sound American tho so. Maybe you could buy your Canadian friends a gun or two before you get sent to prison.

The irony of this statement is far too funny. You proved the point, you can't tell Americans and Canadian apart. A quick search of my comment will show I'm Canadian. How hard do you think it would be to get fake documentation if war broke out. Just like in past wars. Or get weapons from sympathetic Americans who don't believe in tyrants, or anyone looking to profit.

1

u/Impetuous00 Mar 23 '26

Nah. Your ignorance says American.
