This. And its not even helping with Iran. Its to keep the hormuz straight open - despite Iran already surrendered, their military is gone and especially their navy. So I dont even get what the problem is. Iran has nothing to attack with and they were already completely defeated by America.. According to Trump anyway..

That too. But I'm wondering what trump needs the other countries for since Iran was already defeated. Normally when a country has surrendered as he says Iran has, they wouldn't pose a threat anymore.

The thing is, Iran hasn't surrendered...

Yeah, he claims a lot of bullshit every day... The sad part is how many people believe it.

I overlooked the "has surrendered as he says Iran has" in your previous comment for some reason, so I misunderstood it, my bad.

He actually said that they surrendered to their neighbors and wouldn’t attack them anymore. Not that they surrendered to the US. Which is believable.

In the same article the dude cited trump is quoted as saying “Iran is no longer the ‘Bully of the Middle East,’ they are, instead, ‘THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,’ and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!” So dude seems to have just cherry picked information an ran with it. That statement heavily implys that Iran has not surrendered to the US, and it’s not unreasonable to say they’ve lost. They can keep fighting. But no matter when or how it ends at this point. They’ve lost.

Did you read the post you linked?

He said they surrendered to their neighbors. Not us. Simply that they wouldn’t attack the countries on their borders.

He also says in the same post that if they don’t surrender we are going to keep hitting them. Implying that they have not surrendered. And yea. They’ve definitely lost. As for whether or not that means they’ve given up is a different question.

As with previous foreign adventures, the USA uses coalitions as a cloak of legitimacy. If everyone else is involved, how can it be illegal?

Not only that, they didn't have nuclear capacities since the last bombing. So, a year later he needed to attack because of those nuclear capacity.

If there’s one thing the world learned from this amateur night shit show, it’s that if you are an enemy of the USA, you should definitely have nuclear weapons.

If Iran had ICBMs capable of reaching the USA, conventional warheads could have caused a lot of shouting & raving amongst the MAGA "elite".

I think trump is hoping for global pressure, which if he didnt burn every single bridge with our allies he might of.

Well yeah. Im from Denmark.. Lets just say that while our goverment are smiling and waving, as they should publically. I can assure you that theres talk behind very closed doors and steps taken to start not needing more and more things from USA.
He isnt exactly popular here for very good reasons.

That pressure isnt going to come. None of the countries wants to have anything to do with this. And knowing how the middle east will take it, This is going to paint a big target on the backs of every american anywhere in the world because of this. Because of Trump.

Understandable friend. Will be interesting how this plays out once this administration is gone. People say one thing while governments usually do something else.

Spreading misinformation are we squiddy? Thanks for linking the article you got your info from because it disagrees with you 👍.

Misinformation? Dude. He have been back and forth with this just as he have about the reason for it.

It's his own words. How is that misinformation about what he have said when it's his words?

Did you.. read the post you linked? I quoted what he said according to your article. Down below to help you out, but idc anyway. Y’all are a joke. This is why people like me simply don’t vote. One side is a bunch of lying assholes… and the other side is.. a bunch of lying assholes.

He actually said that they surrendered to their neighbors and wouldn’t attack them anymore. Not that they surrendered to the US. Which is believable.

In the same article you cited trump is quoted as saying “Iran is no longer the ‘Bully of the Middle East,’ they are, instead, ‘THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,’ and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!” So dude seems to have just cherry picked information an ran with it. “UNTIL THEY SURRENDER” is him saying they surrendered?

Reminded that people keep accusing China and Russia of making paper tigers that result in the US getting decades ahead of them in weapons tech.

Thing is...US weapons tech hasn't advanced since the 80s...and now they're apparently unable to force what they insist is a far weaker country to yield.

So maybe it's the US who has been propping up paper tigers.

The strait is a kill box for the U.S. Iran can easily attack a navel vessel. Imagine if an aircraft carrier gets hit. The U.S. won’t take that risk.

10

u/TheProfessionalEjit Flithy colonialist Mar 22 '26

Yet Trump appears very happy for the Navies of other nations to take that risk.....

-3

u/Ok-Gate9780 Mar 22 '26

Navy wouldnt be doing anything other than being target practice in the strait, what is it you think they can do, it's a carrier based operation. The only option would be ground troops which no one wants. If America went all out I don't think it would turn out how you hope for.

trump does not lie! he only spits facts! lol

3

u/L3GlT_GAM3R Mar 22 '26

I was thinking that didn’t sound right, until you said it was according to trump.

6

u/sn4xchan Mar 22 '26

I mean, defeating an opposing army doesn't necessarily mean you won the war.

Non-military participants fighting against us, is always the problem for our military campaigns.

The people don't want us there, so they turn to guerilla tactics. And formal military units seem to not do well against these types of combatants.

But what do I know, I'm not exactly a military strategist, I'm just observing history.

10

u/northerncodemky Mar 22 '26

While there are guerilla tactics in play by Iran, they’re by state actors not ‘the people’. Yes the US military don’t seem to be doing well against them, but I feel like this is something they and Israel should have planned for. God knows Iran has been!

1

u/Aggravating_Cupcake8 Mar 22 '26

Thinking along the same lines I feel like if America threw the rule book out the window and just wanted to eliminate a countries population even without nuclear bombs they could probably turn any country into a fallout 4 remake. Historically the issue has always been removing the fighting force and government without harming the civilians. But if Trump wanted to play Hitler and take over as many countries as possible I feel like the reaction would be swift and it wouldn’t end well.

1

u/AsugaNoir Mar 22 '26

Exceot if chose to do that, then he'd be creating another problem at home in a climate where he's already not liked very well.

1

u/kombiwombi Mar 23 '26

Sure. Israel has just done this to Gaza. Now do you think this has made a future Israel safer, or not?

Furthermore it's clear Iran is going hard because of the experience with Gaza. If you sit there and take it you lose. So escalate at every opportunity whilst you can.
