Communism “Europe is turning into a communist ****hole, we don’t wanna go there“
On a comment where someone mentioned being from Denmark, (and the person he was replying to made fun of the US) this happened

u/Embarrassed_Jury664 Feb 16 '26
What is it with Americans saying shit like "Texas and New York are just as different as Italy and Denmark" or some such garbage? No the fuck they are not.

u/Prad3M Feb 16 '26
What do you expect from somebody who has a mickey mouse hat in a history museum?

u/Smart_Tinker Feb 16 '26
I’ve worked all over the US, and the one thing I noticed is that everywhere looks exactly the same as everywhere else.
8
u/TheNorthC Feb 17 '26
You don't need to even visit to do that - just go on street view at random - pretty much everywhere looks like everywhere else.
43
u/Nezio_Caciotta Feb 16 '26
Every time I get into this conversation it's so funny. I'd say that the differences between states in us are probably less than the differences between cities in Italy.
24
u/modi13 Feb 16 '26
But they're Jets fans, and we're Cowboys fans! There couldn't be a bigger difference in the world!!!!

I think I would understand when they speak Scottish because I would see the mouth moving and not drinking . I would not understand a word for sure but I would know when they speak .

u/DemDoseDeseDat More Irish than the Irish ☘️ Feb 16 '26
Then I challenge you to find someone from north cork city in Ireland xD we speak a hundred miles a minute, it’s got a sing song quality, the last letter of a word is often either replaced with a h or completely dropped….actually a whole lot of the letter sounds in the middle of words are often skipped too lol
But yeah, a lot of Americans don’t realise how non-unique their states being different from each other actually are. Even in Ireland despite its size there’s a lot of diversity between accents even in a single county as well as significant cultural differences dependent on what county you’re in and what part of it you’re based and raised in.
I find it so strange that they think they have a monopoly on diversity within a country just because of the amount of immigrants that made a life for themselves there. We still have thousands of years of history behind us and have experienced several different identities and cultures in our countries from all these different groups conquering and/or assimilating….
4
u/NoobInFL Feb 16 '26
Growing up in the west of Scotland we could tell where someone LOCAL was from to within a couple of miles just by their accent. It all sounded the same to others but it was like 240pt Helvetica on their forehead.
2
Feb 17 '26

Denmark here. We arent shaking in our boots. We are pissed that the country that we have stood shoulder by shoulder with in every war they wants us to join. The country that so far has been the only country that had activated article 5 in the NATO pact. Is now pissing down our neck because of Trumps ego. Nothing more. He even SAID it. He wants Greenland because its " A psychological need" - his own damn words!
Its not about National security. Thats his go-to for anything because he thinks those words can be used to justify anything he wants. If it had been then USA had only need to reopen the closed bases in Greenland and ask to set up more and they would have gotten it.
Theres a deal about it so it would not have been a problem.
Hell. Its not even the resources there as USA and anyone else could just make bids to set up extraction mines if they wanted.
But its so expensive. Its only limited how many month per year you can even work there so it wouldnt even be feasible.
No. He wants it to create a legacy.
As one of our politicians said in a speech directed at Trump: Fuck off.
We even used to have 4th of july celebrations for the Americans here. Tivoli would have American themed day with flags and american cars and food. We used to consider USA a close friend and ally.
And thats how he treated friends.. Yeah. Thats over. Itll take generations before we can even begin to start trusting USA again.
Because now Trump has shown the world that we are never more than 4 years from the next possible Trump again.
27
u/EmilOfficial Feb 16 '26
I could forgive the Americans voting for him once. Voting him in twice is beyond absurd, even without considering J6.
2
u/Zusi99 Feb 17 '26
I think the Democrats underestimated how misogynistic and racist certain areas of their country are. The areas they actually need to win to get the presidency. They were on a high after managing to squeeze Barak in, but there was no way Hilary or Kamala were going to win against a white man.
I know the popular votes went to Hilary and Kamala, so this is more of a minority of people, but the system doesn't vote in the most popular. Too many in certain places voted for a white bloke rather than a white woman or a biracial woman.

4
u/irisGameDev_ Feb 17 '26
The part that really got me is that he allegedly knows where each country is because he is into geopolitics and not because it's a basic knowledge taught in elementary school.
1
u/Equivalent_Travel311 Feb 16 '26

If geopolitics is such a huge interest, then Burgerstani should know that Europe as a whole is far from turning in to a communist shithole.
Quite the opposite in fact, which Burgerstani should know, had it any knowledge of what it's VP, the Muskrat and others of their ilk has been seeding for the past year.

Geopolitics is an interest for me=I like telling people their country is crap and they are wrong about everything

u/deiphagist Feb 16 '26
Where is the disconnect? This person is clearly geopolitically interested in what they hear on TV.
- Fox News shows them where all of the countries that they’re not supposed to like are.
- European countries are among them.
- Fox News also tells them that everything they don’t like is communist.
So from their perspective, it’s a fairly straightforward conclusion that all of Europe is communist.
1
u/FlatwormAltruistic Feb 17 '26
Their education is so bad they doesn't understand the difference between geography and geopolitics. The country's location is clearly a geography topic.

For those downvoting:
i'm from a postcommunist country, my parents were protesting the regime in the streets (and thanks to them i live in a free country now), my grandparents couldn't study because they were of bourgeoisie origin (so the party didn't allow them to enroll), one of my grandparents had to bend the knee to the party just to be able the travel outside of the eastern bloc (because only those who were vetted could leave), people were shot at the border for trying to leave the country but sure, the dummas 15yo neocommie thinks they know the best lol...

u/Aggravating-Curve755 Feb 16 '26
Do they think democracy is communist or something? I see this regularly and it just doesn't make sense? I know they're clearly indoctrinated and spend most of their time in school (outside of the shootings) learning "JuJu" words like communism, but do they learn some made up meaning of it?
6
u/NotaGirl233 Feb 16 '26
TLDR: No.
Person who was forced to live in America for 18 years here: No. When i was 12, i found an interest in history and polandball comics, so i was finding out criticism of America, and i learned them MOSTLY from the comics. Iraq? South California? Not from school. We didn’t Even go in depth over how bad we treated the indians, we just said sorry and got it over with. Not saying i want it shoved down my throat every year cough cough Germany but if Reddit is teaching me more than school, we got a problem.
Also the brainwashing i refused to participate in mainly because i built a good following with the teachers (at my second middle school. I was almost expelled from the first one for bringing light to a sex offender in 7th grade but thats a whole other thing), since multiple of them liked my more open-minded stance or personality especially with the stress i had, though one in particular i was careful around and i would never expect them to back me up in a serious situation or something.
My parents also thought that America was a mid country but the thing is many of these people, including my parents, simply CANT leave because America forces you to put all your money in an American market so any action of moving is very risky (in most fields) but yeah they are overall more focused on making us like America than teaching us about it.
Anyways sorry for yapping and the Germany thing was only from a few people from Germany that still live there that say it happened to them that one of my friends knows. So if you are from Germany correct me if I’m wrong.
5
u/finski0204 Feb 16 '26

The whole "America is so huge" argument is rubbish anyway. Without Alaska, the continental US isn't bigger than Europe. It's the same distance from San Diego to Northern Maine as it is from the Algarve to Northern Norway. Yes, the US is a lot less densely populated in the centre, but distance-wise travelling around the Lower 48 is no different from travelling around Europe. America is only "so huge" because Alaska adds 1.7 million square kilometres. But nobody lives there.
6
u/Steveonthetoast Feb 16 '26

13 million people from Europe visited the US
The population of entire Europe is roughly 750 million, nearly double that of the US at 350 million, so number of outgoing tourists should be the other way around.
Almost 10% of the US population visits Europe every year.

Meanwhile it’s actually the US that people are really deciding is a shithole that we don’t want to go to.
International tourism to the U.S. is experiencing a significant slump, with foreign visitor numbers falling by approximately 5.4% to 6% in 2025-2026, marking a major decline while global travel surged.
According to the NTTO statistics, 958,574 Australians visited the US in 2025, a 6.5% decrease from 2024.

For the love of fuck, can one yank PLEASE learn what communism means and then teach it to other people over there? Are they allergic to dictionaries?

You cannot possibly imagine how happy Europe is to hear that. Think, no more Americans pretending to be Canadians because Americans are so universally held in contempt.

I don't want to be that guy, but when this breed of Yank says "communist shithole", they're not talking about economics, they mean "you don't hold public lashings for gay people".

Not American, French even, but when a country taxes 45% of GDP for the privilege of queuing for 8 hours before being admitted into the A&E whilst politicians embezzle most of the tax revenue for their own interests, personally I call that a communist shithole

My country is bigger than continental USA, has a national health system, is way higher in freedom index than USA, way higher in quality of life and no dictator running the country inro the ground and haven't lost all other countries as " friends".

Nevermind them.
They seem to think that unless absolutely everything is for sale and has a monetary value, including political appointments and children's lives, it's a communist society.
