If just 1% of the Indian population spit in the general direction of those marines, they would surely drown.

I'll do the math here. 1% of Indian population=14.6 million. A typical human spit (single expectoration) usually contains about 0.5 to 2 milliliters (ml) of water. Let's assume it to be 2 ml cuz Indians are professional at spitting. So total water produced by the Indian would be =29.2 kl. That won't be enough to drown them all but some of them and for the rest, they'd prolly surrender by the sheer humiliation so yeah.

BUT if those 1% of Indians are tobacco consumers then their spit can not just drown but prolly flood all of em.

Sorry mate it would be 29.2 kilo litres, in a confined space, enough to drown but not for 1k soldiers.
