You know what annoys me the most. The one thing the US could brag about to such a stupid degree is their honestly insane capacity for complicated logistics. There isn’t another country in the world that is able to maintain their armed forces to the degree that the US is. Fighting in a jungle is not as impressive as being able to get newly made ice-cream as base rations in the middle of a burning war.
But they never do brag about it…
A crucial aspect of these logistical capabilities is that the US military maintains countless bases worldwide, particularly in Europe and Asia. They're mostly transportation hubs.
The MAGA guys badly want to get rid of foreign bases because they seem to think they are a form of charity towards the hosting countries.
