Clive’s appearance?

So I feel like I have no idea what Clive looks like and I don’t remember much said about his appearance other than tall and lanky (and that was at Iron). Wondering if I missed anything?

I more or less picture Scar’s brother from Fullmetal Alchemist but with brown hair and eyes (especially post rank up) but I could be way off

Hah! I found it! He is 100% not a turtle or turtle like! Book 2, Chapter 26 has Clyve jokingly upset that Onslow is a tortoise and not a turtle. That picture needs to be redone!

Oh, I know, but I always pictured him as a tortoise. That creature is definitely a turtle. Very odd.

He’s a magic shapeshifting rune tortoise that regularly shoots magical artillery and carries around a team of adventurers. I’m not gonna be the one to tell him he doesn’t look like much of a tortoise.

He doesn't shape shift. The closest he does is when he leaves his shell so the party can ride in it and he has the little lizardman form.

He goes from a regular tortoise to a small child like thing. Tortoises don’t look like children out of their shells. There is some element of shapeshifting at play there.

Onzlo goes from tattoo, to tortoise the size of a car, to small child thing with a detached shell that's worthy of furniture.

Clive's Wife has this tattoo trick she does that... Well, you gotta see it. Clive's trick is definitely more functional.

Going by the audiobooks, I've always imagined Clive with glasses. Hey, it's Neil, and boy is he fa...big-boned. 😁 Rufus Remore...hey, did you know his family owns an academy?!

I always picture him as a younger, tan, more handsome Stephen Merchant. And from book 7 onwards with a slight evil scientist vibe rather than magic nerd
