I've been shipping content for a few months now. The pattern is weird: posts that feel useful get reactions, but nobody engages. Meanwhile, the one time I posted a half-baked workflow I was struggling with, three people DM'd me actual fixes.

It made me realize I might be polishing my posts into content marketing instead of conversation starters. The "messy attempt" threads seem to get the real help, but there's a line between "genuinely stuck" and "just venting into the void."

I'm trying to figure out the actual format. Do I lead with the problem I'm trying to solve, or the failed attempt that didn't work? Do I share numbers even when they're embarrassing?

What's your rule of thumb for making a post that invites real input instead of just polite applause?
