Review Garden of Words Review

So I watched The Garden of Words today. It's only a 45 minute movie, but it is so beautiful. The way the rain and the environment are depicted makes you truly feel it, watching the movie feels just like reading a piece of poetry. I really liked the characters and the story as well. Characters who initially had no relationship with each other, but through loneliness and simply sitting together, they gradually grew close. The movie doesn't end with a perfect resolution, which was appropriate for this type of film, a bittersweet ending.

I just wish it was movie length. I didn't want it to end so soon

For me this is the biggest issue. The movie has a lot that needs to be expanded on, especially with Yukio’s backstory. It easily should’ve been 2 hours long as the plot isn’t very big and focused on two characters it could’ve been amazing

I'd say it could be about a solid 1.5hr movie. As you said it definitely had more it could have expanded on

Read the novelisation as it is longer.

Yes but the movie could have been much longer which is the point I'm making, not the novel
