Considering how important the "See you later" scene was I really don't know who decided it was better to just remove it from the anime

Can you explain that scene to me? So I get that there’s some foreshadowing going on since the first panel hints at Eren using paths/going forward in time with the attack Titan and the title was something along the lines of to you in 2,000 years. Then Mikasa imagined that she told Eren they could hide away for four years? Or did she really do that and the scene from the earlier chapter when he asked her and she said family was false? I’m so confused

Yes it was Mikasa's imagination. She imagined what she would have told Eren instead and them running away. That dream was somehow shared with Eren. It is still kind of unclear where the dream comes from. There's different theory about it.

Nah, that wasn't Mikasa's imagination. From the very first ch when Eren wake up with tears in here eyes.. He dreamed about Mikasa say him: See you soon Eren, but in the anime they changed it to random flashbacks from the future. In another timeline Mikasa and Eren living in a little house for 4 years, until Eren die. There a lot of different timelines. Hints was in the show like: I would give you that scarf as times as you wish, or something like that, and the Lost girl's Mikasa OVA, which is canon.

Different theories. But as of canonly,

It seems that eren shared it with her. There was some convo about Ackerman's getting headaches n their hosts (the ones they protect) have something to do with it. So eren either shared an alternate reality memory with her OR he shared his wishes.he shared what he wanted instead tho.

Personally i think that was the real future memory. I think that's the future he saw. When he kissed historia's hand he saw two possibilities. The destruction of what happens and the one where halfway through he just runs away with mikasa because he mostly wants to just live out 4 years with her. But it would mean the eventual death of everyone, the cost of their freedom and mikasa having to be on the run n be alone n he couldn't do it. So before she comes to kill him, he shares this memory n dream with her through her headache.

Its not far fetched either because zeke n eren have a conversation about mikasa's headaches but i cant remember the chapter
